Would RecommendI like that it is reversible. You can install in on the left side of a gate or the right side. You can also install in on the inside or outside of the gate. It came with good instructions for installation. It is made of very sturdy steel. The quality is amazing and the price is reasonable.

If you are doing a new install it is a ggreat product. I was replaceing an old (same brand) unit that had rusted. The holes are in a differant place and the screws are a differant size. Got it to work so all is good.
