This box is very rectangular and very ... gray. It is certainly sturdy enough, much more so than the blue ones Lowes used to sell and I remain hopeful it will prevent a conflagration and catastrophic residential fire in the event my wiring skills are found wanting.

Its a box man. Not exactly sliced bread, ya know.
I added down lights to a few rooms., which required another switch. The double gang box is cheaper than a single gang, double switch. So this was the route i took. The old work box worked fine for its purpose. I run the screws all the way in and out on the tabs before installation. This helps make sure the tabs don't snag. Installed without issues. I expect the box to last until the next guy replaces it in a few decades for whatever reason.
