Solid printer

We use these printers at the office. It's been over 4 years at least. No problems, easy to use, prints on DVD surfaces with good client presentation quality. Large format is also good. Wifi for some of these pixma is a hassle, so we just wired it to the network. But we need solid color printers and this pixma fits the bill. The more functionality you add, the more chances that something will go wrong, so keep it simple if you have time-sensitive work. What is wrong with the canon review form? I...

Excellent printing.

Excellent printing, both text and photos. Although I have to admit that I miss the conveniences of my previous all-in-one.

Terrible!!!!!

No icc profiles, Colors arent even close to what's on monitor. You will waste a ton of paper trying to match colors. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER, IT'S USELESS.

Printer great, software bad

Great quality prints. Eats ink fast but it’s worth it. The software is absolutely terrible for who this printer is made for. The software is so basic and limited that it’s frustrating, I’d thought canon would have something better to pair with such a great machine. The software has the functionality but it’s pretty poorly set up and not at all intuitive. This is a pro-sumer level printer and as such should have something more powerful print handling.

I thought I was buying a WIRELESS printer but the usual cannon non-working wireless crap.

Print Quality Is Good, WiFi Horrible

This printer works well, when it opts to work properly. I'd estimate at least 75% of the time I get a printer error usually associated with either a bad connection, no connection, or some other reason that it won't print. it doesn't seem to matter whether its a wifi connection or USB. Easily the least reliable printer I've ever owned. I've tried every conceivable fix, every online suggestion, I've installed and re-installed drivers ... nothing will make this horrible printer work with any relia...

Excellent For Both Photos & Printing

I've had this printer for over 18-months. I use it for professional photo printing as well as for regular printing. The ink which I use is of the highest quality on very expensive photo paper including Metallic as well as on Canon brand paper. It is used for a number of prints from invoices to receipts to articles and all are quite superior. No qualms about it whatsoever. Wifi is obsolete and impossible to set up

I'm a network engineer so it's not for lack of knowledge. The printer has no way of letting you know it successfully connects so you have to rely on your wifi router for that. It also only configures in 2.4ghz which is dumb. Especially as many routers will connect at highest available speed by default. Spent about three hours so far. No luck I could of course run it from USB but then why by a wifi router.

Good photos ...but???

The wireless is ridiculously hard to set up and manage. I finally gave up and use a usb cord.

Great printer for the price

This is a great little printer for the price. I have been selling art prints that are produced on it can handle Archival paper and the colors come out nice and bright.

Great printer

I print a lot, ether documents or cd's labels and to say that this does a great job is an understatement! The Pixma iP8720 is one of the fastest printers that print high quality documents, Web pages and PDFs too. Wonderful and easy to setup and get started.

Colors don't match imac 4k screen colors

I bought my first one on December, but it had lines going across the print, so Canon sent a new ip8720. The new one works fine but the colors don't match the edited images through Lightroom on my imac. Overall not satisfied with this product.

Not a user friendly experience

Prints decently for the price but GOOD LUCK getting this model to cooperate with your WiFi. In this case a usb cable would be useful but Canon instead ships this printer with a do-hickey for printing on cds.

So Far So Good!

Just received the printer yesterday, set it up today, printed my first photo and am blown away by the quality! Brilliant color and clarity! Also, I found the wifi set up to be fairly easy with the Canon Print App. Printed a photo directly from my phone with ease. Would highly recommend.

I have only had a chance to print just a few things, but so far I am very satisfied with this printer. When i am able to put it to the test, I will review it a little more.

Great workhorse of a printer with DVD printing, too

We have several of these in the office. They work reliably with various paper sizes, DVD, and CD printing.
