AWFUL!!!!

worst printer I've ever had. doesn't even print. No instructions. the couple of times I got it to print, it was so light you couldn't read anything. bought new ink cartridges for new printer and still same results. Do not buy. What a piece of crap.

Pita printer is black hole for time

This printer is awful because it's supposed to be wifi but it's actually USB-based & doesn't communicate well with Netgear43 Gateway. It's also incompatible with Windows 11 and has communication errors constantly, the print spooler needs to be emptied manually & reset repeatedly. No firmware updates are available to fix these issues, & the Printer Management App does not work with Windows 11 Home Edition. It only works with Windows 11 Pro. Had I known all these things I would not have purchased ...

This printer does everything I need it to do. The auto duplex is a really nice feature to have.

No more Canon

My partner needed a printer fast and this one was in stock. Biggest mistake ever! We have had so many issues with it. Whether we are printing from a phone, tablet or laptop there is always an issue. This has been the only printer that I have to print through the app. And that still isn't a guarantee. Even without high usage the ink dries out quickly. I've had a Canon in the past but if this is what to expect I'm done.

Stay away from this product!

Terrible product. Ink evaporates over a couple of months. Spent at least 5 time more for ink than the printer itself. Ink cost per copy is enormous.

Horrible Product

I have had nothing but trouble with this printer since I bought it. It constantly disconnects from my wifi causing me to reinstall and re-enter password. The keypad for that is ridiculous - not very user friendly. Whenever I have to install a new ink cartridge, it gives me error messages, and this time when trying to change my color ink cartridge, it is giving me the error message but this time I can't get around it. Horrible wireless printer - count yourself lucky if it prints.

I bought this printer a couple of months ago and wanted a base model that could print a few documents per week, mostly in black and white. Every time I try to print, I have issues getting the printer to download the document and even once it does and the printer queue indicates it is printing, nothing is happening. I typically have to cancel printing mutliple times before I actually get what I need.

No more Pixma printer 4 me

Don't buy it! Very slow as a printer! Takes too long to play with Wi-Fi connection setup! (and you need to do it almost on the regular basis) Ink display not correct. Multiple page scanner feeds deforming pages! After just a week vacations (lost power to my house) just spent about 2 and a half hours and still not communicating with my desktop PC.

Unreliable and incredibly frustrating

Even something as simple as printing ONE PAGE OF PAPER can be too complex for this printer at times. It says "please wait momentarily" endlessly even though it's connected to strong wifi, has full ink, and is only being asked to print one page. This printer has a mind of its own and often decides not to work. Honestly, it's a waste of money in our experience- what's the point of a PRINTER that won't PRINT?!?!

Terrible product and worse return policies

Gott it up. And running finally. Quite a feet in a n d of itself . I used it twice then it keeps coming up ink cartridges improperly installed...install ink cartridges properly. And do everything they say to do but to no avail. I had bought 4 xl ink cartridges with it and now I have no printer and aton of bink. I don't recommend buying this. The refund is you. Can bring hi back only if it is in the original packaging and it has to be broken before you open the package. Figure that one out!

This printer is no good. I got it in the summer of 2024. I have bought ink 3 times since then cause it keeps telling me I"m out of ink. And still doesn't work.I have tried everything It Tells me and it says I'm not connected to WiFi. With the money I have spent on ink I could have bought a more expensive and better working printer.

A compact home office look -uses too much ink and not enough printing

I bought this about 6 months ago. I do not do a lot of printing, already I am needing to buy a third black ink cartridge. I had had good longevity of my previous PIXMA's but I'm questioning this one

Not great!

We bought this printer amd within a month it stopped working. I feel the ink doesn't last long either. Everytime I think I get it figured out it messes up again.

Nothing but problems with canon printers. I’m on my second one because the first one needed to be replaced. It was under warranty and they could not figure out why it kept jamming. They’re slow, they’re clunky, they’r loud, There is no back light on the little display screen so you cannot see anything that is popping up such as errors or whatever and the list goes on… The website and customer support are no better. Perfect so far for what we need

Found this printer to be incredibly easy to set up using my phone. It then quickly connected with other iOS and ChromeOS devices. Appreciate that it does not waste paper and ink printing test pages.

I bought this printer 2 months ago (Oct 2024) and have found it to be the most difficult to operate printer.
