Unusable product

This dishwasher leaked the 1st and 2nd time we tried to use. Repair person arriving next week. Leaked from underneath and by the right side of door. Very disappointed. Hopefully we have better luck with refrigerator, range, and microwave!!! Also, piece on the bottom is very flimsy and cheaply made. I would not recommend this appliance.

Way off from my other cafe appliances

I’m very disappointed with the overall quality and reliability of this dishwasher. We’ve already had it repaired twice, which is unacceptable for an appliance that’s supposed to be durable and dependable. The build quality feels subpar, with components that seem prone to failure far sooner than expected. In addition, the noise level is much higher than advertised. Not worth the extra money

Have owned this diswasher for just over 5 years. We remodeled and bought all new GE Cafe appliances. The dishwasher door leaked at first use. GE sent a repair company out who ended up removing some of the rubber insulation around the outside of the machine. Problem solved. Now 5 years later, we woke up to discover our hardwood floor was warped around our kitchen island. The source of water is the bottom of our dishwasher. Not happy at all. Not your old Cafe

No where near the quality and features of the Cafe dishwasher this replaced. Specifically wash jets under silverware basket, button for bottle jets. One touch middle rack adjustment. Heating element exposed. My fault. Purchased on line and never saw it, figured it was a Cafe.

Support is lacking a bit

Unit arrived dented, was collected 2 days later and I am still waiting to hear about delivery and install. Rec'd an automated message today, it was very unclear however I did detect "Lowe's" mentioned. I called the number they left and the person could not provide any information and passed me along to "appliance" - where I was promptly hung up on. I hope it is a good product once it finally gets here

Do not buy GE

This dishwasher worked great for about a year and a half. Then it didn't. Now after 4 years it does not work at all. If you are going to spend money on a nice dishwasher, I would not buy this one. It has one problem after another. We bought an entire set of Cafe appliances and the only one that still works (for now) is the refrigerator. I will not be going with GE for any more of my appliances. I can't get rid of these fast enough.

Great dishwasher easy to use, very quiet, excellent cleaning. Holds a large amount of dishes and layout is very functional.

too small

the dishwasher is not designed well. as you stack the dishes they dont fall into place properly leaving very little room. the cycle times are outrageously long as well

The noise level is exceptional, very quiet and barely heard

Poor quality, do not buy

Totally disappointed in the build quality of this dishwasher. The sprayer arm (lower) hit the heating element and melted (despite having a metal cover). The replacement arm no longer uses the metal cover. Despite having soft water, using the recommended Cascade detergent and rinsing off the dishes, the dishwasher does not consistently clean the dishes. Silverware are awful, baked on food. item sucks

We have a GE Cafe dishwasher for 2 years now, the door does not want to stay closed. We have to hold the door for minutes to get the washing cycle going. This has been a on going issues for a couple of years. We have had the appliance store over to check it and they claim there is no problem. But in fact there must be. What is my next step to resolve this issue?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a builder's grade dishwasher that was loud, poorly designed for capacity, and had trim pieces falling off. The GE Cafe looks great and has a large and orderly capacity. It is so quite - we hardly know it's on.
