Dependable printer
I had a Brother MFC before and it was wonderful. I wasn’t able to get refills so had to buy a new one. I chose the DCP-L2640DW because it was cheape. Works well even though I keep getting false notification it is out of ink. It copies fine but difficult printing from computer. I believe it is a “hack” issue.. ???

Great printer
I really like my Brother printer. I don't print a lot and with this one it doesn't matter. It prints great every time. Even after sitting for a while. My old ink jet would dry out.

Two good points, one drawback.
Easy setup with convenient small footprint. Only drawback so far is the top load auto feeder does not guide pages straight in for scanning. Often have to feed pages manually, separately and then combine them after the fact. Not the best use of time.

Great Laser printer
Love this laser printer you don't have to worry about ink drying up any more, plus i can make copies from my printed items and it prints on both sides of the paper.

Beautiful print...with Brother reputation!
I've owned Brother printers 20+ years. Great print at low price. I bought this model for WiFi and scan. Great improvement in WiFi connection ease, and reliable. I want Brother to hire a GREAT app writer...why do I pick the Brother app to scan, only to be told to shift to a second app?? Come'on guys, your engineering is better than that. Also, I must've missed some complicated reason why I can't just step up to scan to some set destination...why must I have an app as middleman. I LOVE this scanne...

Poor history and support
The printer will not work after an initial print. If I clear the machine, it will print one tome. It needs to be re-installed just to get that far. It haS BEEN A COMPLETE WRECK.

Good All in One for the Money with one flaw
Only problem I've found with this unit is that it will drop the WIFI from time to time and requires inputting of the password in order to reconnect. Unless you have a short easy router password, this is a pain, as it has to be done through two keys on the panel. I don't know why it doesn't keep the password in non-volatile memory.
