Would RecommendWe needed to create custom sized outlet covers for our guest bath. This product is a good way to do that without having to start from scratch. In our particular case we needed to shorten the height and were able to do so using a router.

Would Not RecommendWe stained probably 40 of these in a variety of types, switches, outlet covers, etc etc.. They are made out of birch.. which is unfortunately one of the tougher woods to stain. About 20% stained horribly, the other 20% stained 'fair', the remaing 60% stained 'average'. These are not single pieces of wood, they are sections glued together, you can really notice this when stained. The construction really isnt a deal breaker, but they are inexpensive, and do the job.... get another brand if you ar...

Would Not RecommendThese covers are similar to plywood. They are glued together in sections like plywood and after staining, lines show where the section seams are (3 sections on each cover). Paint might cover the seams better than stain... The purpose of these tho was to stain, not paint.
