Ended up wasting my money
Would Not RecommendI bought this wall plate because I wanted to stain the wood to match other trim. Once it was stained it was obvious that this plate was not made of one solid wood piece, but was pieced together. It suddenly made the plate look very cheap. The reason I gave it two stars is that it is sturdy due to its metal backing. If your plan is to paint this plate, that would work, but I don't recommend it for staining and/or varnishing.
