What Customers Are Saying

The overall sentiment towards this product is mixed. While some found it effective at drilling through various tile materials, including hard surfaces like marble and granite, others experienced issues with the bit dulling or breaking after just a few uses. The bit seems to work well for softer tiles like travertine, but may struggle with harder materials like porcelain. Drilling slowly and steadily, and potentially using a pilot hole, appears to yield the best results, as going too fast can cause the bit to overheat and fail prematurely. The durability of the bit is inconsistent, with varying reports on its lifespan.

Blunt after three holes drilled

Would Not Recommend

I bought this bit to drill six holes in tile floor to install new toilet flange. After drilling three holes the bit was blunt. Very disappointed as I now have to go buy a different bit to get the job done. I drilled at slow speed both dry and with water dam and neither seemed to really work too well with this bit.

Bought the bit for drilling into brick--it was extremely hard to drill the hole. I had to resort to a different bit. I figured if it worked for tile, it should work for brick. It didn't

Pretty darn good!

Cut through fairly fast. Slow spreed (1500 to 2000 RPM), dry, you go much faster you'll burn it out. Worth the $4+ bucks.

light use so far

Would Recommend

Bought this bit to drill drain holes in the bottom of ceramic pots of varying thickness. Worked as advertised, bit is still good after that light use and no pots were damaged because of the bits inability to punch through cleanly. Would purchase again.

Drilled Porecelain Floor Tile

Would Recommend

I needed to install a floor pedestal bathroom sink after installing the floor. I used 2 bit sizes, one for the pilot hole and then the final (both this brand and style). I taped the floor first and gently taped a dimple to start. Worked like a charm. Use some water to cool and keep down dust and use a slower rate of drilling speed. I did think it dulled the bit relatively quickly I felt.

Great drill bit, for the correct tile.

Would Recommend

Bought to drill through tile to install a shower door. The tile was commercial grade floor tile backed by concrete, which requires a drill press. But, this is the ONLY drill bit that finally bored a hole as I went through 7 other lower grade bits.
