Ratings & Reviews for Bosch Natural Stone Tile 4 -Piece High-speed steel Masonry Drill Bit Set For Rotary drill
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The tile drill bits appear to have mixed performance. Some customers found them effective for drilling through ceramic and stone tiles, while others experienced issues with the bits dulling or breaking after limited use. Drilling through tile can be a slow and challenging process, even with these bits, and customers recommend using a slow drill speed, keeping the bits wet, and starting with the smallest bit size. The quality and durability of the bits is inconsistent, with some customers reporting poor performance and short lifespan, while others found them to be a good value and effective for their tile projects. Overall, the bits may be a reasonable option for basic tile drilling tasks, but may not be suitable for more demanding or high-volume tile work.

Very good
Verified Purchaser
Excellent at the price
Would RecommendUsed on tile shower enclosure. Holes were quick and perfectly clean. I was particularly impressed by the way I was able to “start” each hole precisely. In spite of the fact the tile was VERY smooth and wavy, it was pretty easy to avoid drift or wobble starting the holes.

Won’t handle granite
Would Not RecommendI was drilling a hole in granite, 1/4 inch, and I had gotten about 1/2 inch with carbide tipped concrete bits. When they became dull and would go no further, I found these bits of hardened steel. Package said they would handle granite. When I tried them, no movement at all. Return them to the store.

Carbide Drill Bits
Drilling through ceramic tile which they are designed for was a chore

For you DYI’ers, considering all your options
Would Not RecommendThe porcelain material was a real challenge for the bits. For the excessive cost, the product did not perform any better than its less expensive, competition.

Works great..
Would RecommendNeeded to drill four holes to mount blinds on two window with tile surrounds. Using my drill on slow speed I found the best way to drill through the tile was to dip the drill in water then put it to work for 20-30 seconds then dip the bit in water to cool and remove dust. Each hole took about 15 minutes, then on the last hole (this is YOUR timesaver) I switched the drill to high speed and used the same dip-drill-dip method and finished the hole in at least half the time. Bottom line is they work...

Unusable on high quality tile.
Would Not RecommendBits dulled tremendously after 1st hole drilled. Don't use if you're using a quality tile material. They may work on a cheap ceramic tile but that's you're material choice.

Bit dulled after one hole
Would Not RecommendI bought these to drill holes in ceramic tile to mount a grab bar for my mother. The 1/8 in pilot hole bit dulled after just one hole. I couldn't even finish a second hole and i did water cool the bit. The description on the website said it can drill harder tiles. Very disappointed as I have own other Bosch products that I like.

Natural Stone only! Don't even try it on tile!
I know that it says natural stone. But using the smallest bit on bathroom tile does not work very well at all. On block or like it says Natural Stone it works wonderful. So don't have high expectations for any one of these four bits on tile. Doesn't get the job done at all.
