What others should know ..I purchased this bit to anchor straps to a poured foundation wall using tapcons.. The bit lasted 1 and a 1/4 holes before it was dead and couldn't even make a dent in the concrete. Using my bosch hammer drill on spin & hammer . Lasted less than 3 mins. Pure garbage.

Bought it to drill on concrete, for a home camera/ doorbell install. Did the job, no complaints.

Good for 1 hole

Disappointing that the more expensive Bosch named product did not work for me on more than 1 hole. I will now consider masonry bits single use and trash.

Drilled 4 holes, its still going. We’ll see how long it lasts. Carbide tip looks good and strong, no dulling or chipping so far.

No ordinary rotary drill will work

A Lowes associate recommended this product to me for drilling pilot hole into concrete. But he failed to mention that I need a hammer drill that will drive it into the concrete. After using my regular rotary drill, the bit barely made an dent. I purchaded a hammer drill as the item stated in the i structions and it worked fine. I made 3 deep pilot holes for my door jam.

Bosch masonary drill bit

This product was great. I drilled over 50 holes in cinder block with a hammer drill and it is still a working tool. For $8.00 a no brainer

Don't Waste Your Money

I bought a 5/32" bit to just drill 8 holes in my 38 year old slab. The first hole took incredibly too long. The second hole was just too much for this bit. The tip had gotten smoothed out on the first hole. It was very frustrating seeing how much I spent on it. The packaging states very proudly that it has a "Long Life In Concrete." This bit did not.

May work better in a Bosch drill

It's not obvious from the packaging and display at Lowes but this bit may be designed specifically for a Bosch drill. The top of the shank is hidden by the packaging so not obvious that's it's not round all the way to the top. I had to reposition it carefully to get a smooth spinn without the bit whipping as the trigger was pulled. Luckily I found a spot that worked otherwise another 40 mile round trip for a low dollar item and wasted time. I don't own a Bosch drill so I don't know what kind of ...

SDS bit is great holds up

Great brand I’ve had a lot of other brands break This one only dulls after 200+ uses

I used up several bits drilling brick to install Ring doorbell. This bit and my hammer drill did the job. Very pleased with purchase.

SDS is the best way to drill a whole in concrete

With a whole this small this is the best way to drill in concrete. Don’t expect a ton of life as the aggregate you drill through will take its toll on drill life.
