What Customers Are Saying
This fiberglass resin product has mixed reviews. Some customers reported issues with the resin not curing or hardening properly, even when following instructions. Others mentioned the resin becoming tacky and gumming up sandpaper, or running and ruining surrounding surfaces. However, many customers who properly prepared the surfaces and mixed the resin and hardener according to instructions had successful results, finding the resin easy to work with and producing strong, durable repairs. Overall, this product requires careful attention to mixing and application to achieve the desired results, but can be an effective fiberglass repair solution when used correctly.

Would Not RecommendI just received an old batch, expired, and it's crusted over with chunks of cured resin inside.

Best way to buy liquid resin for fiberglrepair kit
Would RecommendI bought the kit to repair the floor in my fiberglass T.T. where a leak caused water damage and decayed the wood. I spent about a hour preparing the repair spot. I bought a second fiberglass mat to make sure I have enough to finish the job. The repair area is about 15in x 5in. in a crescent shape with a fiberglass lips on the shell that needs to be filled in. After cutting 3/4 of the included mat into smaller pieces and a few of the woven mat, I started the first layer. About 6-7 mixed layers ...

Never Hardened / NO PUBLISHED SHELF LIFE INFO!!
Would Not RecommendI tried using 3M Fiberglass Resin (20122) to repair a cracked hard-sided suitcase. It never cured – not even with a 2X dose of hardener. Now I’ve got a sticky gooey mess to deal with – possibly unrepairable. This could be due to the product sitting on my shelf for a year or two – unopened, and in an air conditioned indoor closet. However, I DID inspect the can for an expiration date – and found none. Likewise, I checked the hardener – nope – no date. I scoured the 3M website for anything on she...

Terrible product
Would Not RecommendI purchased Bondo fiberglass resin stage two on Saturday afternoon. Came with the liquid Hardner. Came home and once again wiped down the area that I had spent the morning sanding and preparing to fiberglass on the saddle bag of my Harley Davidson. Since it was now wiped down and ready to go, I mixed up the recommended parts 10 drops of Hardner with the recommended resin. Stirred it and applied it to the cloth that I had cut out and fit to the area. Went to church and dinner Saturday night. Came...
