What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this flooring pull bar as an indispensable, time-saving tool for installing laminate, vinyl plank, and hardwood flooring. Most find it essential for closing gaps and maneuvering planks in tight spaces, with many stating they couldn't complete projects without it. However, some report the striking end bends or deforms when struck with metal hammers, though reviewers note using a rubber or dead-blow hammer prevents this issue. A few experience breakage on first use. Despite durability concerns under improper use, most customers consider it a worthwhile investment for flooring installation.

Would Not RecommendI purchased to install LVF . The tool worked as advertised, but after using product the end that was being hit with rubber mallet began to flatten. I had to get a ball ping hammer several times to hammer back to original angle. Possibly a stronger gauge of metal material would help.

Worked great for my flooring project
Would RecommendThis worked perfectly for my flooring project. I wouldn't have been able to complete it without this pull bar.

Found out I really needed this
Would RecommendI didn't think I would need this for my flooring project since I did another floor without one but this time I needed it. It worked perfectly and is the perfect size for the job.

Gotta hold on you
Would RecommendThis bar has a thicker end than the other off brand I previously purchased.

OK FOR ONE TIME USE
Would RecommendI had to grind off the end to 1/4" off the end so it would slip between the drywall and flooring. Worked for what I needed it for BUT the steel does not hold up to hammering. After a few boards, the hammer end was bending. This could be beefed up to make it more durable.

Bad design and cheap metal
Would Not RecommendFind a better designed part at another store since Lowe’s doesn’t carry anything else. The pulling lip is taller than any floor material so it can never lay flat on the floor surface making the striking surface, that is too small, at an angle driving the tool end into your flooring. That is until it bends and stops working five minutes later. Had to wrap mine it tape to protect the floor.
Imperative but problematic
Would RecommendThis tool is imperative, making installation of a click lock floor possible. But the metal in this tool is weak. I have purchased two, and both have bent in use in installing both relatively small floors.

Easy to use, it has a good weight to it. It also has 2 small pads on one side , so the surface you’re working on will be protected from scratches .

easy to bend...
Would RecommendEasy to bend if you happen to hit high on the edge of the pull bar with the hammer. Advise using a dead blow hammer not a steel hammer.

Broke First Use
Would Not RecommendUsed this to install last row of 2.25" oak flooring. Broke on my first use. Do not buy this. Need something much stronger for hardwoods.
Can scratch the floor surface
Would RecommendRarely would I say something would be better if it was made of plastic, but this is the case here. More accurately it would have been better made of resin (or whatever material the floor tapping block is made from). This is fairly thin steel and the flange that you tap against with a hammer is not tall enough, but worse because the steel is not coated with a scratch resistant material the end that wraps around the floor panel can easily damage it. We ended up wrapping it in duck tape and then p...
