Power of a blow drier

My old roomate had a black and decker battery powered blower that was the 24 volt model and it worked really well, it was light, easy to use, and it had plenty if power for blowing off the patio/driveway/what have you. Lightweight and powerful!

As a 60+ widow, I needed a blower that was light, easy to operate, and effective. This cordless blower is perfect! I didn't really need the vacuum attachment, but bought it for the higher voltage battery. It has plenty of power to blow debri from my three decks, two sets of stairs, and patio. I just pop the rechargeable battery on the charger after each use and it is ready to go!

Gas is best

The battery power was not nearly powerful enough when compared to the gas model. Never mind the replacment battery cost as much or more than the entire unit when it comes time for replacement. Battery powered flashlights great, blower/vacs, not so much.

love it

It works great. Enough power to clean my brick patio with ease and light enough for an elderly (78) petite woman to use. Cleaned my patio and my rather long driveway and had plenty of power left. It was a joy to not have to drag an extension cord around. It is also much quieter than my corded blower and that is a bonus I didn't expect. Would certainly recommend this blower to anyone. A little pricey but worth it.

Not bad for small areas

I bought the 36-volt sweeper in late August 2013. It worked okay for my small yard and driveway. I only used it as a sweeper a few times and stored it for the winter. When I went to use it this spring the battery was defective. I emailed Black & Decker, gave them some info on it and they sent me a new battery with no extra charge to me. Works ok...but must be designed by a "lefty".

Just bought this device to replace an older, cheaper model. The sweeping and blowing in one tool is wonderful!!! The device seems to have adequate power although the battery life was a little disappointing on the first use. Hopefully it will do better after the next charging. I say this unit was designed by a left hander because if you hold the unit in your right hand in the "blowing" mode, the air intake on the unit is right next to your body and has a tendency to try to suck in your pants. Very good

Small and lightweight, great for clearing driveway and sidewalks after mowing. Cleaning garage, basement window wells. Used for 2 weeks have had no problems. Charges quickly. It's great range of use because there is no power cord to drag around.

Like the multi speeds

Like it overall. Lightweight. Wished the battery lasted longer. Get 15-18 mins of use per charge.

Don't expect to replace your gas or corded blower

Good for removal of loose particles on hard surfaces only. Good for a quick blowout of the garage or cleaning the sidewalk and driveway. Bought mostly for our son to use when he cuts the neighbors' lawns so that he doesn't have to carry extension cords with him. (Some homes don't even have outside outlets.). We also bought the companion 36V string trimmer.

Great blower

I wanted a battery blower that was not heavy and lasts a long time. I got both my wishes with this blower. I live on a corner lot and got tired of hauling all that electric cord around. I tried ones with an 18 volt battery and they just would not last for the whole job. Very happy with this purchase. It has adjustable speeds and can also be used as a vacuum. I have not run out of battery power yet when cleaning up after mowing or trimming. It is awesome!

Lacks Power with a Short Battery Runtime

The Black and Decker is an okay blower for minimal tasks. It can clear hard surfaces okay, but doesn't run very long on the full power setting. It's nearly useless in grass or in flower beds. Bottom line: it's better than a broom on small hard surface areas...but, have a rake ready for any grass areas.

gimme more power....please

Bought this to replace a corded B&D blower/vacuum I have that is about 8 years old. The old corded one lost the high power switch, so it only worked in low speed. However, the low speed in the corded unit is still more power that this cordless unit. Even on setting "6" (highest power setting) the power is just not there for a blower/vacuum.....that is my only issue with this unit. They have made it real simple to switch between blower & vacuum and the leaf bag is simple to take off and empty. I ...

Does small jobs easily, even wife can vacuum the patio now.

Not enough GO!

it just needs way more power to be sold as a blower that costs $150. It better clean my driveway from 20' away.
