Ratings & Reviews for BLACK+DECKER 40-volt 85-CFM 120-MPH Battery Handheld Leaf Blower 1.5 Ah Battery Included Charger Included

Not enough power.

I have a number of hand held blowers and this one is the weakest of the bunch. You would be better off buying a 40V variable speed blower for about the same price.

I love it

My main purpose for purchasing the tool was for the vacuum. It is lightweight and allows me to get to areas that would require me to use several cords for my electric vacuum. It suctioned up all the small leaves from the edges of my grass and the driveway. I didn't think it would suction up the acorns, since even my larger electric vacuum can't get those. The battery lasted long enough, but I wish I had 2 of them. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Light weight, adjustable speed.

I like the fact that it is convenient and easily for me to use. The power is adjustable for me to blow leaves against the curve of the driveway. I have a more powerful one with an electric cord. It is harder for me to achieve. This is a great additional tool to accomplish my tasks.

Excellent Sweeper/Vacuum

I have owned this sweeper/blower/Vacuum for over two years. It has worked flawlessly. It is very strong as both a blower and as a vacuum. It is very easy to use and to carry around. This is one of several 40v products that I own. My only problem with any of these 40v products is that two battery units have failed (I have had at least 6 products with 40v batteries, and I bought two extra batteries, when on sale). It would be nice if B&D added a telescoping 40v tree-limb pruning saw.

IT BLEW ME AWAY!!

I purchased this leaf blower 4 years ago. I was concerned that it ran off of battery rather than typical Gas. I was amazed by the power and how long it lasted. I use it about twice a week to clean my patio, Deck, driveway, and sidewalk. I also use it to clean my Barbecue Grill! No kidding, when I wipe down the inside of my grill, I use this to blow out the small portions of ash I can’t reach. I also use it like a dryer after I wash my car or after I empty out my pool, it helps dry it up qu...

Hard to find but I love it! Works great!

I've used this for 2 years now, and really only use the vacuum to get all the leaves and blossoms that fall or blow around my pool and back patio area. It's quiet, lightweight, and I can do all the steps and upper and lower patio usually with just one battery, but sometimes I have to use a second one and recharge the first. It picks up all leaves, blossoms from my Oleanders, but not heavier twigs which I pick up myself as I go. It keeps my back "yard" looking really neat and clean. I also c...

LSVW36

I really wanted to believe in this unit so I purchased one with free ship to store, even though I read the stores won’t carry them anymore because they all get returned. It has some nice features, I like the changeover from vac to blower, better than other manufacturers. I had realistic expectations with the unit as i have one of their hard surface blowers, the hedge clipper, weed eater, battery drills etc, all good. But this thing is junk. It would not pick up dry leaves and clogged constan...

Good for small yards

This is good if you have a small yard. the bag doesn't hold much and you have to empty it frequently. we ha e a small house in AZ, and my neighbor's tree dumps leaves in my yard, so this was a necessity. Has some good power yo it though.

Exceeded Expectations

Overall I am very pleased with this product. Unpacked it charged the battery and went to work on my leaves. The vacuum works great on the leaves, plenty of power and the battery lasted about 40 minutes of continuous use.

Great Blower with Limitations

I bought this unit with the Black & Decker Sting Trimmer package and I love how lightweight the item is, how easy it is to manipulate, and how well it does for the cfm rating. I gave it only 4 STARS for two reasons: 1) Would be a lot better if the cfm's were closer to 120 mph. 2) The blower is its' best at full charge to 1/2 charge. When the battery gets to 1 light (1/3), the performance is severely affected and only good for light blowing. I didn't return it because while it's not 100% of w...

Very good sweeper and vacuum

Excellent for sweeping dry leaves, dirt, etc from hard surface such as walks, patio, garage and tennis court; NOT strong enough for yard leaves. Has variable speed and on high speed the blower will run 15 to 20 minutes. Very useful as a vacuum to clean leaves off patio, around front door and in hard to get to places. Is nice not to have to worry with a cord or mixing oil & gas. I am very satisfied with this item.

I wasn't given a chance to try this leaf blower!!

I ordered this leaf blower online at Lowes.com (since it was not available in the store) for my backyard, which requires an extensive raking in the fall due to having a few big trees. First of all, this item hadn't arrived to the store in the promised time frame of 10 business days, but came in a week later ( I had to call every day to the store to find out if it was finally there). When I finally got it home 3 weeks after I ordered it, and unpacked it, I notice that it has no battery or charge...

Outstanding power for a cordless unit.

Very powerful and respectable runtime for a 1.5ah battery.

Nice machine

We like this leaf blower. It's light weight and easy to carry. It also mulches. I do recommend buying an extra battery.

Handy speed adjustment, works well

I was on the fence about whether a battery operated blower would have enough grunt to get the job done but for your average homeowner this will be a quite a time saver. The unit charges up quickly and makes cleanup after cutting the grass a snap and sweeping out a 2 car garage becomes about a 2 minute operation. I like how it can be adjusted to blow at lower speeds for delicate areas like around flower beds, etc, where you don't want to dislocate all your mulch. Unit is nowhere near silent but m...

Very pleased

The power of this blower is amazing for being so lightweight and friendly. You can't go wrong with a lithium battery and B&D has a very good reputation. Very pleased.

Good light duty blower

This is a good light duty dry sweeper for the driveway or deck. Does not have the power to handle wet or large cleanup. Don't expect this to be a replacement for a electric or gas blower.

Works great on hard surfaces

I have only used the sweeper portion so far, but am happy with it. I am a short female and not strong. I am able to handle this sweeper just fine as it is not too heavy or bulky. Love that the power setting is easily adjustable for different sweeping situations. Highly recommend getting a second battery for longer uses or if using on higher power setting. On full strength (6), the battery dies between 25-40 minutes. Love it for clearing off patio and sidewalks (power level 2). Unfortunately it d...
