What Customers Are Saying
The cordless circular saw is suitable for basic home projects like cutting 2x4s and 1x6s, with reviewers praising its lightweight, convenient design and quiet operation. However, it may struggle with more demanding applications, such as thicker or harder woods, and can drain the battery quickly. Some users recommend upgrading the included blade for better performance. Overall, the saw works well for simple, light-duty tasks, but may not meet the needs of experienced DIYers or professionals.

Would RecommendPros- I cut different types of wood no problem. It's really handy not to have to drag out an extension cord. Plus it's lightweight. Cons- it's not the fastest saw in the world but it works.
Uses a lot of battery!
Would RecommendI needed a good inexpensive circular saw and I brought this one, since I already had some other B&D 20 volt tools. It does a very good job cross cutting 2 X 4s and 2 x 6s but not good for ripping. I purchased a new DeWalt 24 tooth blade and tried to use it to trim down one side of a new solid wood interior louver door but it stalled out after just going a couple of inches. All I had was the 2 amp 20 volt battery, I read on other reviews where they were using a 4 amp battery, that may help the jo...
frustrating
Would Not Recommendhard to keep straight and shuts off at the slightest resistance. I got this since I had a bunch of batteries already, but I recommend you avoid this and get a real saw
Very handy and great for small jobs.
Would RecommendI live in a Condo and needed s small circular saw for small DIY projects. This fit the bill perfectly although I really wish it came with s storage case or bag.

My rating for this tool.
Would Not RecommendDifficult to engage the safety switch. Even with a fully charged battery the saw doesn't have enough power to cut through a 1/2 thick pine board without binding and shutting off. Would NOT buy this again nor will I refer it to any of my friends.

Good saw, bad blade
Would RecommendThe saw works very nicely, but the blade dulls very quickly. In fact, I was cutting cherry yesterday and the saw wasn't cutting. I gently touched the blade and it was dull, and I just got the saw. So, if you want to buy the saw, get a 5 1/2 inch 40 tooth or more blade from diablo. That's what I plan on doing.
Slightly disapointing
Would Not RecommendI've had this for a couple of years. Its okay for rough cuts on the go but the shoe came crooked and it took me a while to notice that, so I would try to use a guide to get a nice straight cut and the blade would bind up badly because it was not straight with the shoe. This went on long enough that it seems to have taken out whatever bearing or bushing the blade rides on, so my blade no longer runs true it has a little wobble to it. Thats a bummer because for a home-owner I've use it a lot but f...

Great little saw
Would RecommendThis came as part of a package deal with the battery and charger. Have only used it a couple of times but it performs well.

Nice handheld saw
Would RecommendI'm not an expert at home projects, but I needed a saw to help build a couple of gates for an existing fence. This saw works great and the swappable batteries for the 20V system are very convenient. For the price, this is a great product. My only complaint is that seeing where you're cutting is tricky. Maybe I just need to practice with it more.

Very handy light duty saw.
Would RecommendI purchased this a couple of weeks ago. It works great for what I wanted it for. The blade that came with the saw I didn't like, it seemed to pinch too easily. I purchased a better blade made a tremendous difference. It's still a light duty saw and I don't push it like my big circular 7 1/4 inch corded saw. It is so easy to use and light weight. Love it.

Handy
Would RecommendIt’s a handy little tool to have with any small projects. Tried to rip a 2x4 and it would bog down and used a lot of battery. But still handy for small jobs and can get into tight places.

Light duty saw!
Would RecommendI've had this saw now for a few years and it works great for small and light duty projects. The reviews I've read on here are pretty bad... but I've had nothing but good times using this saw and teaching my kids how to use power tools with it! It's small enough for little hands but big enough for a 2x4!

Best purchase Ever!!!
Would RecommendI was extremely skeptical at first to go with Black and Decker, since most people use other brands but this outperformed my DeWALT, Bosch, & Makita! And it was so much less expensive. After a friend helped me build my deck with it, he went out and bought the same one. It really is a powerful saw, battery lasts forever on a single charge. I have to admit I was stuck in my ways “brand names” but Black and Decker is back!

Light Weight
Would RecommendI bought this item to cut some 2x4 's and this product gets the job done! I was worried it'd be heavy like the one my husbands dad loaned us, but this one is so light, my arm doesn't get tired after 2 8 ft long boards!

Nice little saw
Would Not RecommendI bought this saw for small jobs. I will say it struggles quite a bit but does cut through eventually. I would not try to use it to cut through anything substantial. I have to say that this is the first Black and Decker tool that i’m Dissatisfied with.
