What Customers Are Saying
The cordless circular saw is suitable for basic home projects like cutting 2x4s and 1x6s, with reviewers praising its lightweight, convenient design and quiet operation. However, it may struggle with more demanding applications, such as thicker or harder woods, and can drain the battery quickly. Some users recommend upgrading the included blade for better performance. Overall, the saw works well for simple, light-duty tasks, but may not meet the needs of experienced DIYers or professionals.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews. This is my go-to saw when on the job. I run a small handyman business and this saw has done its fair share of work. I mostly repair handrails and do small deck repairs and this saw will cut through a 4x4 at an angle with ease. Great saw that does the job that is for sure!

Disappointed daughter
Would Not RecommendWhen I first purchased this saw it worked great. I built a nice little corner table and basic wood cutting. I hadn’t used it for a couple of months because I work out in the oilfield and only get 4 days off and work 9days straight. I was just at home and was going to build my daughter a desk for her homeschooling but when I tried to use the saw it didn’t want to turn on anymore. The last time I used it worked fine but now I can’t get it running. It was a disappointment to tell my daughter I coul...

Should have trusted other reviewers
Would Not RecommendThis was handy when rough cutting small squared pieces of soft wood. Once I tried to do more things with it, things went downhill quickly. Changing to a higher teeth count blade for smoother finish made the saw stop before finishing the smallest cut, even through 1x3/4in spruce. Plywood was a nightmare and what is making me write this review is the fact that I came back here and a review I dismissed was actually predicting my future with the tool (by andrewr): the shoe is slightly crooked. You...

What a RIP!!!
Would Not RecommendI thought I was getting such a great deal...until I read the fine print after I made the order. This is a striped down model. You have to pay extra for battery and charger. So this great deal turns into a money grab. Tried to candle it and they won't do it.

Wouldl not cut straight even using a guide
Would Not RecommendCiruclar saw BDCCS20 20 volt saw. Tried to make a 32 inch cut across a piece of 1/2 inch plywood, using the guide in the shoe or base plate. Started the cut fine but the blade walked off 1/4 inch. The shoe hardware is flimsy allowing the shoe to wobble. The shaft the blade bolts to wobbles and is a bit loose. I used a guide to make the second cut and same issue. The 1.5 AH battery leaves a lot to be desired, better have quite a few batteries charged and ready to go. The cordless drill and impac ...

Weak!
Would Not RecommendI purchased after being VERY happy with my B&D drill and impact drivers and I wanted other tools that used the same batteries and bought this and a reciprocating saw. First cuts with this circular saw were terrible. It was so weak, on a fully charged battery, it could not cut through a simple 1/2" sheet without stopping many, many times. Because of this, it and the reciprocating saw will both be going back. I'll still use B&D for my drills and drivers but I will look elsewhere for saws.

No thrills finishing saw
Hopefully you have other 20v max batteries, does not include battery or charger. Comes with a very coarse saw blade, by no way a finishing blade

Cheap plastic safety shield
Would RecommendThe front retracting tip of the cheap plastic blade guard broke-off the first time I used it. To me it looks like a weak point that should be better designed. A good heavy plastic epoxy fixed it. On the plus side, I love the fact that the B&D 20v batteries work on all the B&D cordless tools I own.
