Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Barrington 10-ft x 10-ft Hardtop Roof Steel Gazebo

Love it!!

This product was easy to install and the wood is beautiful. We did apply a matte stain to the wood to weatherproof it.

Best and safest gazebo

Last weekend I lost my beautiful Backyard Discovery to a falling tree. I only had it 2 years and I am heartbroken. Couldn't believe this gazebo took the brunt force of a large tree yet it remained standing and prevented any major damage to my deck. And more importantly no one was injured. I will be replacing it with the same gazebo. I would never buy anything besides Backyard Discovery.

Review Update

I originally gave a very poor review of this gazebo. Upon completion I'll bump it up to 3 stars. It does look nice once assembled. Assembly is a pain especially considering extra assembly is required to save them on shipping costs. Removing blue stickers from metal was a nightmare and the large amount of 1" lumber warped in the heat. All in all assembly wasn't the worst and it looks nice.

Good quality products

14x10 Barrington

My husband and friend put ours together . Was amazed at the high quality and how organized parts and directions were. It is amazing and thank you for putting out great quality . Best thing we have purchased in years

This is a great product!

My family made this weekend a very fun community "build our gazebo" time. With our grandson as project manager the gazebo was completely assembled in about 14 hours. Seven hours on Saturday and another seven today. I've read several reviews and it seems the only negatives are about how difficult it was to assemble. I won't lie, my grandson is talented and he can build or fix just about anything so this was a walk in the part for him, but if I'd been in charge it would have taken at least anothe...

Quality product

Overall a very quality product. The assembly time in some of the reviews I read were very aggressive. Pros: Quality wood and hardware. The instructions were great, very detailed and offered many good guides throughout the assembly. Cons: I was missing three boards, all rafters. Two of the rafters were detailed with miter cuts and a rabbit. I am a retired carpenter so instead of waiting for who knows how long to get these, I fabricated these. I only had one other helper, also a retired c...

Very high quality! Looks amazing

Very amazing looking. Love it

Very nice design!

The instructions were very thorough, I would recommend downloading the BILT AP as well. I would recommend a total of 3 people to install the roof panels but can be done with two strong people that have some basic carpentry skills. Keep all parts organized and take your time, the end result is beautiful. Highly recommend

Excellent

We had been looking for a gazebo for awhile. Came across this one and glad we did. Made very well, strong and sturdy

Great piece

A little tough to assemble and definitely need help putting it together at times especially at the end when the large pieces get assembled...once together its a very solid structure. The manufacturer was very responsive and handled any issues I had. Make sure you seal the wood.

Great!

Adding lighting, fan, Insteon switches. Love it!!

Nice looking and designed gazebo

I have had this up for about 3 weeks now. It looks great, very sturdy. The wood is extremely soft, only draw back I have seen so far. You hae to be pretty careful not to dent or mar it or drive the bolts too deep.

Great Gazbo

This is a really nice Gazbo and the price was great I would buy it again. Looks beautiful in my yard.

Missing parts. Holes drilled wrong.

This was a disaster. the kit was missing one of the roof beams stopping assembly until we replaced it by making one ourselves and many of the roof beams had holes drilled off so we had to redrill. No sign of any insulation in roof panels.

Review is for the Delivery Team not the gazebo

I have to get one 🌳 cut, so the gazebo is still boxed up. There was a team of 2 men whom I happened to be leaving my home & asked if there was a delivery for me? I had no prior knowledge of a date or time for the delivery?🤔 They placed the cart with heavy boxes for my 12x16 gazebo 11 feet into my driveway. I shared I'd open the gate to put it in the backyard. He said, no - we usually put it in the front yard or driveway. I shared I had construction going on & family who park in the driveway,...

Sturdy but challenging to assemble

Gazebo is very Saturday and looks great. The only downside is the assembly. The roof is a pain, you need at least two people preferably 3. The panels that go through the seams and the trump around the top is painstaking. The screws are self tapping and you have to penetrate the steel roof to attach. The roof is a collection of 6 panels each probably weighing close to 125 lbs each. It would be much easier if the company split the roof into smaller sections that would allow one person to install....

Fun project

Great gazebo overall just made sure to layout all the parts before hand if you’re building it yourself

Easy to put together, great product

This gazebo is beautiful!!! The directions were easy to follow and it went together easily. We have the 12x20. My husband and I put most of it together by ourselves. We did have 2 others help us put the roof panels up. We love it!!!! We were missing a few brackets, called customer service and they were great, sent them out asap no issues. I would recommend this one to everyone!!!

12x16 Barrington

Had my 12x16 Barrington gazebo installed, they did a very good job took almost all day with 2 1/2 men. I have now completed installation of tv with swing up mount, ran electrical conduit paint black, installed two electrical box’s for power for tv and electrical box provided on post. Also installed 52” outdoor ceiling fan and a 120” crank down shade to block the sun in the afternoon. Very pleased the way it turned out.
