I purchased the 12X20 Beaumont on July 4th. I received it approximately 2 weeks later. There were several pieces that were damaged (including one of the posts) that had to be replace include one of the column pieces. I contacted BYD and their Customer Service was excellent and they shipped me replacement parts. Nine days later the replacements came and I again had a damaged post. I contacted BYD again and they said no problem and would send me another post. I tell them to please make sure ...

Good buy, beware of measurements

Overall the pergola is very nice and instructions were clear. Unfortunately the instructions for how long the base is were wrong. All the concrete was laid out exactly to their plan of 114" on center, but when assembled the posts were just over 115" on center. I recommend building all of the long pieces FIRST, then calculate how far apart the posts will be. I am a woodworker and teach engineering. Normally you would cut everything to size as you are building because there can be some changes...

Looks great, easy assembly

So pleased with our purchase of the 10x14 pergola kit. Assembly was not difficult even for a hot July weekend. Looks fantastic and great to enjoy evenings under the pergola. Can’t wait for my vines to train onto it!

Not as advertised or pictured

Boards are cracked and warped. Made from pine (NOT CEDAR) and in one pic it shows a power strip which is another reason I purchased it, but it did not come with one.

Pergola build

Great kit with attention to detail. Great hardware. The directions need to be better. Everything may be labeled, but they don't tell you what pieces go together 1st, second, third. Good thing I have a construction background.

I had been wanting some structure to provide shade in our backyard since we bought our house four years ago and I only wish we had done this sooner! The pergola looks beautiful and it defines our space so much better. You will want to seal it beforehand and it does require a few friends/family to help put up.

We took delivery of the 12 x 10 cedar pergola kit in early June. From start to finish, the process has been positive and the end result is the creation of a new peaceful place! Ordering was very simple, delivery arrived a day sooner than expected. The kit came in two boxes. Before assembling, we used a protective sealant. Dimensions are deceiving

Thank goodness I took some time to read the reviews about sealing this pergola before opening the boxes and assembling it or I would have never learned that the 12' x 10' dimensions are determined from the roof/overhang instead of the post's location. We had a 12' x 14' concrete pad poured and this would likely have looked ridiculous. Now we have to go through the joy of returning it - pickup, dropoff, shipping, re-stocking fee... This tiny detail is HUGE for a lot of folks and it should be note...

Great Pergola

The pergola arrived on time. The stain was very consistent and when I applied the seal coat I used alot less than anticipated. All of the hardware was included and there was extra hardware included as well. Everything fit together well and the finished assembly looks great. I highly recommend this product.

Well engineered. Everything lined up perfectly.

Went up quickly. It was nice having extra hardware. The only suggestion would be is to make the barrel nuts a 1/4" longer.
