Impressive Product

I was impressed with the thoroughness that Backyard Discovery puts in their products. Written instructions and an app, some tools, and extra hardware. We stained the wood before assembly and carefully followed the instructions. It did take three to erect the posts, but the final construction was by myself. I highly recommend Backyard Discovery.

99.9% Perfect

Love this! I knew when I opened the boxes that this company knew what they were doing. All the parts were there, everything fit, all the holes lined up (almost) and I did the whole thing myself with just three hours help from a friend when it came time to erect it. The ONLY thing I noticed that seemed out of whack were that the holes in the purlins did not match up to the pilot holes in the cross pieces. Not a biggy as the screws went in fine where I needed them to. Just...how the heck did they ...

Lovely pergola!

We love our 14'X12' Beaumont pergola! Once the components were organized assembly was so straightforward. It is a very solid structure and is such a lovely design. We are very pleased with our purchase and would absolutely recommend this pergola.

Beautiful and solid construction.

This is an absolutely beautiful structure, good solid build, and fairly easy to put together. My wife and I would have had it done in an afternoon if not for rain. I would recommend 3 people putting it together we did it with two but some of the structure was a bit heavy for my wife to hold in place while i was driving screws.

Beaumont or nothing….

We bought our 12x16 pergola after purchasing another hrand, upon receiving the other brand it seemed “cheap” made of 1x6’s instead of 2x6’s. We returned the other and purchased our “Beaumont” and couldnt be happier, its sturdy, handsome, and easy to look at. We had a retirement party for a friend recently and everyone was complimentary and impressed at its design and beauty!

Beautiful pergola, easy assembly

This was easy to assemble, directions were excellent. Takes 2 or 3 people to stand it up for attaching crossbeams. Everything fit together perfectly. We pretreated lumber with Seal Once nano poly for extra protection before assembly. We will probably also get a canvas cover for extra shade… very happy with our purchase!!

Worth every penny.

I bought this approximately 2 months ago. I live in Bath PA. Our patio gets sun from early morning to evening. The pergola does its job. This was thousands cheaper then other places. All of my neighbors love it. I took my time and stained it with 2 coats before I put it together. Once all the parts were together, my brother in law and neighbor help me put up the large stuff. We were finished within 3 hours. FOLLOW the instructions and its easy. Can't say enough about how well engineered this is...

Our Wonderful Grape Arbor

I bought the pergola/arbor a month ago. Directions were very clear! All boards, bolts, screws, nuts and washer were labeled. Other than sealing the boards, the actual construction was completed in ONE DAY. We are one young man and one 70 yr old short woman. If we can do it, anyone can handle it. It looks fantastic. The grapes have been planted by each post. We just need to string some led lights. ,

Love It!

We bought this a couple months ago and finally had good enough weather to build it. I loved the cedar smell that filled our garage! It came in 4 boxes. We stained all the pieces before assembly in our 2 1/2 car garage. We were able to lay all the pieces out on saw horses and the staining process took 3 days to get all pieces stained. The instructions were easy to follow and it took my husband and I two days to assemble without any help. They recommend 3-4 people to help and that's a great idea ...

We have not received any updates and the tracking number is not recognized by fedex. You cannot trust the claim that the product has shipped. I will update the review once we get satisfaction on shipping details.

Instant backyard outdoor living

We have had our 12x14 pergola up for a year now & couldn't be happier. Pleased with the size, sturdy construction, visual appeal

Lovely addition to our back yard!

Printed instructions in combination with the BILD app were well thought out. We suggest that moving the partly-built pergola, setting the feet, moving the pergola off the feet, anchoring the feet, and moving the pergola back on the feet, would be more easily accomplished before the slotted cross-beams are put in place. All in all, this was a worthwhile project, and we're pleased with the look and quality of the pergola.

Easy assembly with step by step instructions

I bought this 16x12 set and put it up very easily between my wife and I with no other help. Instructions were precise and everything lined up. Only disappointment were the cement screws they gave me in the hardware box. 3 out of the first 4 snapped off while screwing them into the predrilled holes in the concrete. I stopped immediately and drove to the hardware store and purchased Tapcon cement scres of same size. it went smoothly with the new screws. It looks awesome!

Very impressed with the quality

Looks fantastic and meets all our needs. Assembly was very well explained with diagrams and video but most important all of the bolt and screw holes lined up! We spend most evenings outside enjoying it.

Survived a Tornado!

I bought this in spring 2024 and my husband and I installed it in February of this year. We had a concrete slab poured and attached the metal plates to it after building the pergola. This past weekend we had an EF-1 tornado come through our property, winds were estimated at 110 mph, this pergola is still standing and unscathed!!! We had 30 foot trees uprooted and thrown to the ground. We are very impressed with the quality and build of this structure, 100% recommend!!!

10/10 Best Pergola I have ever seen

built this by myself. Took around 8/9 Hours with breaks etc. The instructions on the app are very straightforward to follow.

Good product, better service

The pergola itself is fine. It has some weird gaps in the joinery as you might expect from something manufactured in China. But both the customer support team and the assembly folks were great. Very responsive, very friendly, very quick to resolve issues. I would buy from them again just because the customer service was exceptional
