help with leak.

I bought 10x18 louvered pergola purposely to fit our deck. It looks great but the 18 foot length is probably a bit to long for the way it is made. It does dip in the middle of the gutter and the water flows out of the gutter onto the deck and now TV. I have tried to put shims under one side pillar to help the flow of water but the middle still leaks. How can I address this issue?

As good as it gets!!!

Delivered May 12 all parts included and no damage. 4 heavy duty boxes. Took 2 of us a total of 22 hours. Got the beams up first day and finished the rest the next day. We took our time and used the manual as well as the BLIT app. The directions are very good. I attached to my deck and used a couple of 2 by 10 between and attached to my jost. Then used 5 inch 3/8 bolts to fasten it. It's not going to go anywhere. Really love how everything turned out and this is one solid structure, well...

High quality, looks great and, easy to assemble

Bought and installed May of 2025. Took me and a buddy about 3.5 hours to fully assemble. We noted that some paint had been damaged during transport, but otherwise all parts, hardware, and assembly tools were there. Given all the rain we've been having, it was perfect weather to put the folding louvers to the test - needless to say, we grilled and chilled uninterrupted by mother nature. My only concern is the linkage for opening and close the louvers; but time will tell if it holds up.

Just put together, here is how it went......

Product is quality....all pieces came wrapped in plastic and are flawless in finish....4 boxes. 1 & 2 are the structure and 3 & 4 are the slats....hardware is blister wrapped with easy identifiers and plenty of extra pieces of each and several drive bits included...direction book was awesome, with detailed drawings and clear instructions, every step was detailed.....I constructed 90% of it myself with just some additional help to stand it up and add the 2 end pieces, once up, 1 person can comple...

Beautiful and sturdy!

We set it up in one day and it is beautiful and very solid. We anchored it to a concrete pad. The instructions were easy to follow and we just love our new space.

the instructions from scanning the QR code didnt match the pergola that i purchased. Also, there needs to be a place to store the handle that opens louveres.

Great Pergola!

I bought this a month ago. Sturdy and I like the retractable feature. Steel and black adds to the concrete patio. I can have a good outdoor time without worrying the direct sun. I can have half sun and half shade! I can have a good time during rain without getting wet. Love the summer rain time. Kids love it. Highly recommended.

Backyard Discovery is by far the best Pergola around. I looked at all the competitors and they were no better than the Backyard Discovery. They wanted to charge from 3X to 5X more for their product for nothing. When it arrived it was exactly as advertised and easy to assemble, we put it together in about 5 hours it came in 4 boxes with nothing missing. Why did i wait so long?

Very attractive pergola

We bought two of these and absolutely love how they look in our yard, and enjoy being able to open or close the louvers as desired. All parts arrived in excellent shape, and our contractor did not have any problems with the assembly (we're not the DIY types). The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the built-in rain gutters are very shallow, and woefully inadequate during anything other than a very light rain. If it's really raining, the water either drips or pours down from the inside...

We have had our 14 x 10 Sarasota Pergola for almost a year now. It's been through rain, 80 mph windstorms, and a lot of sunshine, and we have been thrilled. If I could do it over again, I would have hired professional installers. Getting it put together is a two-man job, but securing it to the patio is a job for professionals, or people who really know their construction. I appreciated the clear marking of all the parts - that made assembly easier. the 14 x 10 size is ample for a 10 foot table. ...

Great addition to the backy

I love the look and quality of the pergola. This was new for the assemblers, they did a good job. This pergola stood firm through the hurricane season in FL and keeps the sun off of my family when needed.
