Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Norwood 20-ft x 12-ft Hardtop Roof Steel Gazebo

Great Gazebo

We did a complete backyard makeover in our backyard and this was our focal point and we couldn't be happier with this product. It looks fantastic, very well built

Very impressive gazebo

We purchased the Norwood 16x12 in June for our property close to the lake here in Montana. We just got it built a week ago with the help of friends who were able to come up and stay. With the 3 of them it took 2 days. It is fabulous. It provides great shade throughout the day and is a great place to sit and drink coffee in the morning. I'm just sorry it took so long to get it up because our time here for the season is coming to an end but knowing it will be here when we come back is great. We p...

Solid

I've had this out for about three years and it is still going strong without much fading. The instructions were straightforward and the use of the application is super helpful for an in-depth view of how to put it together it took about two days with the help of one other person so definitely able to accomplish. My only complaint is that the legs of the gazebo are not solid they are hollow almost like they are glued together.

Awesome gazebo!

I finally completed building this. It took a total of 14 hours. 10 hours with the help of family and friends on two different days. Last 4 hour was all me finishing up with the accessory platform, putting up track lights, securing it to the concrete patio, and mounting the electrical box. The gazebo is made very well and is not complicated to build, just takes time is all. A couple times it was difficult to understand the way a piece is installed, but we figured it out. I believe this is built s...

Great purchase

Bought the 12x10 Norwood gazebo the end of March (2025). We love it!!! Was looking for a budget friendly gazebo that was decent quality and looked nice. Was assembled in a weekend, all pieces were marked and the instructional video was easy to follow. We love it so much that we are looking at the greenhouses they offer.

Family summer project

We bought it for a summer family project turned out amazing 👏

Impressive

Received mine about five weeks ago. My daughter was very helpful in getting it assembled by watching video and reading and rereading the instructions. We did miss a couple of things but we got them corrected pretty easily.

Review

A little more information about the orientation early in the instruction. I did not get the orientation correct on a item or two

Great choice

We are really enjoying our new Gazebo. Glad we chose this model. It went together with ease and looks great!

Beautiful Gazebo!

We bought this a month ago. I took my time putting it up but we have been out under it every night since. The directions were very easy to follow and the holes all lined up perfectly. I was very impressed. I did have to alter the directions a bit, because I was building most of it alone, but the finished product is extremely sturdy and looks beautiful. Already have neighbors asking where we got it. I did shop around, and found Backyard Discovery to have a superior product and reasonably priced. ...

High ceilings I installed two ceiling fans

I use to have plastic 20 x 10it blew away this product is beautiful and pretty easy to assemble too 16 hrs 2 guys my wife loves it

Great product and price

all in all a great product. Took my wife and I approximately three weekends to assemble, with the help of some friends for the heavy lifting. Directions are pretty good, got confused a few times but the good thing is that if you do put something together wrong you'll be able to tell it's incorrect because it will not line up with other components. All parts are identified well and they give you extra on every fastener. The kit also includes all the tools required even the wood clamps needed for...

Fantastic unit

Great product, all pieces were flawless. Instruction manual is excellent, all holes drilled spot-on, hardware bags (there's a lot!) perfectly labeled. Couldn't be happier with it.

Great Gazebo

The 14 x 12 Gazebo is great! We were able to put it together in three days with a little help from a few friends. The parts fit like a glove. If I had a recommendation, it would be to add a bit more detail to the assembly instructions to answer a few questions and streamline the assembly. Otherwise, a great product, quality wood!

Just what we wanted!

We bought this a month ago and love it! It was a bit of a challenge to put together-you definitely needed both the written and video instructions but now that it is done I couldn’t be happier! It looks awesome and is my new favorite spot! We will be enjoying many days and evenings to come.

Beautiful Gazebo

We recently had this gazebo installed and couldn't be happier with it.

Great value for the money

Quality of components is top-notch and packaging was well thought out to avoid damage to any of the pieces. Every piece was there and accounted for in the boxes and assembly went exactly as described in the instructions. This is a super solid and heavy gazebo, so 2 adults is definitely needed to erect this building. Plan on 2 pretty full days of assembly with 2 people. The cedar looks and smells amazing.

Looks great

I bought this because it looked like a good value, and everything was included. I pre stained mine, and I would recommend doing it, It will add a couple of days to the assembly time. I was short some hardware. Most of the hardware bags had 1 extra piece , however some were short several pieces. I did erect this myself, except for the roof, with many saw horses, and scaffolding.
