Would RecommendUsed with a medium-size post box and mounted on an arm extending from a wooden post (but could have just as easily slipped it over the top of a vertical post). If using the wood screws that come with the kit (2" long ?), recommend you pre-drill the mount holes-screw drive is #2 Phillips but very soft steel. Screws provided to attach mail box to the mountig plate are good quality stainless and includes short and long screws (for large mail boxes.
