What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this mailbox for its exceptional value, sturdy construction, and straightforward installation. Most highlight the affordable price point without compromising durability, noting the rust-resistant plastic withstands harsh weather, impacts from vehicles, and coastal environments. Many appreciate how easily it mounts to standard posts with minimal tools. Would RecommendA hit and run driver took out our mailbox but thankfully left the support bar intact. We needed a mailbox that would fit well on the support thus saving us the cost of someone to replace the support bar. We found an almost identical mailbox to the one that was destroyed and are thankful that Lowe's still carries the same one after a good many years of having bought the first one! Thank you, Lowe's.

it is what it is
Would RecommendFor the price it is hard to go wrong. Sturdy enough and looks good. My old mailbox got mowed down by a hit and run driver and I needed a quick cheap replacement. The up side to a plastic box like this is I was able to put a contact sensor in it and now my smart home will announce when the box door is opened.
Mailbox
Would RecommendNeeded a new mailbox to put out after the plow truck wrecked the last one. Decided on heavy gauge plastic over the metal. Put this on a sawhorse & bring in my good mailbox before the snow plowing begins.

Can’t beat the price & it seems durable
Would RecommendHave not had the box long enough to see how it holds up to the elements, but the construction and weight of the plastic leads me to think it will be quite durable. And it looks really nice,

Inexpensive mail box ok
Would RecommendOther than having to adjust the door to close shut, this mailbox is protective against the elements, which is why I chose it over a metal one. Installation was easy.

Will Buy Again
Would RecommendWe bought this box 9 yrs. ago. Living on a township road mailboxes gets abused by bored teenagers and township snowplows. Our box has survived all of this and just recently a blast from what appears to be a firecracker. The front lip is broken and the is a hole in the back, and it's pretty dirty inside now, but the door still works. I attached a photo of the inside of the box. Not bad for a $12 mailbox. I'll replace it just because I'm too OCD. I'm buying the same mailbox.
Good product, but door broke
Would RecommendI like the product it was installed in my brick light up mailbox, it has been in for a couple of years and the hinge broke on the left side on the door, well you can’t get door separate from purchasing the whole new mailbox, thank goodness it’s only $12.99 for Gibraltar mailbox #pl10b020 - Lowes item #812711. The reason I gave it a 3 on the scale 5, was because they don’t make that model available on the parts list that you can purchase separately, there are other door models available to purc...

Poor Design
Would Not RecommendThere is not a latch to keep the door closed. After I installed the mailbox I found the door hanging open 4 times in 24 hours. If we had gotten any rain the mail would have gotten wet.
