It was damaged out of the package, both times. The first one I got, the corner was busted and beyond repair. The second one, the box had been dropped, and the back overlap was bent. I was able to bend it back myself, (there were only two of the models at the store, and I had already made the box to fit said model).

Would Not RecommendAs stated by others, within a very short time ( few weeks) the hinge broke due to a design flaw and poor weld at the joint between hinge and door rendering the thing useless.

To be completely transparent, I'm not sure what the expected lifespan of a mailbox is, but I do know that for my lifetime leading up to this point it's never been just 2 years. None of my neighbors have needed new mailboxes in the years that I've lived here either. Unfortunately, the entire door broke right off and cannot be repaired based on where the break happened. Sleek design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the simple but elegant design of this mailbox. For the large size, it is also pretty lightweight. My only criticism of it is that the painting seems shoddy. The exterior doesn't have any issues that I could see, but the paint is over sprayed/unfinished once you open the mailbox. It seems almost unfinished because of it.

Door hinge broke in a month - they used glue??
Would Not RecommendPretty but the door hinge was secured with adhesive. It is the most important part and needs reinforcement. Broke in a month. Terrible design DO NOT PURCHASE!!
