What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the mailbox's attractive dark bronze finish, sturdy metal construction, and ease of installation. Many highlight the sleek design and solid build quality, noting it looks great and feels well-made. Installation is frequently described as straightforward and hassle-free. However, some reviewers report the plastic handle and door mechanism failing prematurely, with hinges cracking or doors not staying shut reliably. Despite these concerns, most customers consider the mailbox an excellent value and attractive upgrade.

Nice mailbox, but...
Would Not RecommendAfter only 8 months, today the handle broke off of the door when I checked the mail. Granted we live in Wisconsin and it's single digits cold, but it felt like a plastic(?) handle on a metal mailbox.

Winston Standard Metal Mailbox
Would RecommendI needed a smaller weatherproof mailbox and this is what I found that best fit the need. Most of the smaller boxes are those that must be installed on a covered porch because they aren't weatherproof. I consider the mailbox color to be brown rather than the descriptive 'bronze' which would seemingly add a sheen to the color. Door opens smoothly as does the flag.

Handle breaks
Would Not RecommendInstalled it in May of this year. Six months later, the handle breaks in the middle. It's made of plastic. The manufacturer will not honor the warranty because I didn't save the receipt. Who saves a receipt on a $35 mailbox?
The handle is cheap plastic
Would Not RecommendThis mailbox looks a little nicer than the less expensive models, but the plastic handle quickly becomes brittle and breaks easily. It's also not an easily replaceable part. If you replace with a traditional metal handle, you'll have to drill. Lowe's cheaper model now has a metal handle.
What color?
Would RecommendSample on display was BLACK. Item in box is brown. Nice mail box
Cheap
Would Not RecommendCheaply made and arrived with broken handle. It seems smaller than a standard size mail box so if you get packages in your mailbox this will not work for you. Due to this I ordered another product where standard, large and extra large sizes were available and large is perfect.

Handle broke off after 2 uses
Would Not RecommendThe mailbox door was sticking too hard, so I was attempting to adjust it. As I pulled on the handle to open it, the whole handle broke off.
Handle broke off
Would Not RecommendThe handle broke off of this mailbox within 2 weeks of use. It was just glued on (not secured with a screw), and when it broke off, it also broke off part of the frame. Cheap!!!
