Would Not RecommendBeware, the closure on this is magnetic and fails often.
Missing mounting hardware
Would Not RecommendThis is an impressively large mailbox. But it's worthless because there is no way to mount it on a "T" shape post. There is no hardware or mounting bracket in the package, and none that I could find in the store. Took it back.
Sturdy, but it leaks
Would RecommendVery sturdy and well built overall, only complaint is that it leaks around the door pretty bad.
Nice mailbox
Would RecommendI went to the store planning to buy the standard cheap mailbox to replace my 30 year old mailbox. I saw this in Chapel Hill Lowes and really liked it. Of course this being Lowe's they didn't sell the right mounting plate in the store and the Gibralter plate does not fit. In the end I just used screws to go down into a wooden post. The only frustrating part is that there are no holes on the sides which is the most common way to mount a mailbox but I worked around it.
Great quality
Would RecommendThis mailbox is great - exactly what I wanted. It opens and closes smoothly and stays shut. Happy with quality and performance.
