This is the second one of these I've bought. The first one developed a pin hole in it after about 18 months. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Would Not RecommendThe product is fine. A leak had sprung up in my old connector (installed before I bought my home). This new connector worked just fine. But as I needed a new water heater as well I learned from the installer that in Forsyth County these flexible connectors are illegal. You have to have copper pipe connections in Forsyth County.

Would Recommendpurchased 2 of the product to install my new water heater, leaked on both ends of each hose. they did not have special washers in either end of either hose. had to go back again and get 2 new ones....(with washers already inside) the hose must have been a return....

Would RecommendThe flexible braided steel connector seems well built and easy to install. In my case, the water softener was in an awkward spot and didn't lend itself to flexibilty. Took some tweaking to make it all work. Huge improvement over the old days of sweating solder connections, which I was never very good at.

Would RecommendWe replaced one of our water heaters that lasted 34 years so we decided to replace the flex hose pipes too. The old copper ones were not leaking, but we didn't want to take a chance. They worked fine.
