Requires dedicated brackets or extra DIYer savvy.
Would RecommendShelving was absolutely fantastic. The only drawback is you have to use the dedicated brackets that are specifically designed to go with these shelves. The bottom of the shelves are NOT flat; there is a front and back 1/2" "facing"--for lack of a better term. There is a work-a-round if you want to use other decorative brackets--which I did--but that's when it comes to being a DIYer with tools and spare bits of wood around that you don't mind cutting up.

There isn't any packing material.
Would Not RecommendThe shelf is very nice. The only problem we had is there isn't any packing material. It just has cardboard around it. We only needed one, but we ended up ordering five total because of all of the damage. The first four were shipped to our house and were damaged so bad, that they wouldn't work for anything. The fifth one we had sent to Lowes. It was damaged also, but only on one side so we kept it. Love the shelf but I will not be re-ordering any more of them.

I had redone my closet last year with an Allen + Roth closet kit after I came home one day and found my overloaded closet rod on the floor. The closet rod in my husband's closet was bowing dangerously in the middle and looking like it was going in the same direction so I volunteered to undertake this project.
