Skunk garbage!!

This mat is garbage. Stunk up our house. Left it in the garage for two weeks to off gas. Stunk up our garage. Our hardwood now smells like rancid skunk chemicals. Plus it ruined our 8x10 rug. Complete waste of money. Waited too long o return it, hoping it would subside. Now were out a rug too....it's awful!!!

It works!

This is a great pad, and essential for keeping your rug from sliding around on a hardwood floor. Don't settle for a cheaper one. Get this.

Good quality felt padding for your family room rug

So far seems to be doing a good job holding the rug in place. It was also easy to cut with a pair of scissors to fit the rug which was slightly shorter

several weeks and it still stinks!

Returning this pad, I'm not usually sensitive to odors, but this is ridiculous! I put it outside for a few days, that didn't help, it's been in the garage for a couple weeks, the odor still does not go away! I put it outside again, if I didn't pay so much for it, I would burn it, so frustrating!

Strong odor

The rug pad has a strange, unpleasant odor. At first we thought maybe one of our dogs had an accident on the rug, but after opening a second bad straight from the package and experiencing the smell, we realized it was the pad. Unfortunate, because the pad is great otherwise.

Doesn't hold the rug in place

Though the pad doesn't slip against the floor, it doesn't hold the rug atop it in place.

The pad itself was great. No complaints there. However, the petroleum-based odor never dissipated even after fully airing it out (laid out flat) for a week with all the windows open in our house and then one week installed. It is advertised that the odor should dissipate in a few days. My spouse said they could barely notice the odor after two weeks, but I can still smell it (faintly) even though the pad has been out of our house for days now. The product does have a good non-skid backing, but is considerably thinner than we were expecting for the price.
