What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally well-received, with many users praising its ease of installation, sturdy construction, and versatility in creating custom gates. Most reviews highlight the product's great value, and many found the instructions easy to follow, allowing for quick assembly. However, some customers experienced issues with the hardware not being as durable as desired, leading to problems like the hinge failing within a year. A few reviewers also noted the need for minor modifications, such as drilling additional holes, to work with certain post types or gate configurations. Overall, the product seems to be a good DIY solution, but users may need to use higher-quality hardware for a longer-lasting result.

Would RecommendHad to go out and purchase new hardware for installation into a block wall. The hinge pins provided are for wood only. Did not see that anywhere until I read the instructions and opened the parts kit. Otherwise it will work fine for wood post mounting.

Fairly easy to install as advertised
Would RecommendThe instructions to install this gate and finish it off were fairly straightforward. For ~$50 this is MUCH cheaper than having a professional build a gate. It is easy to adjust for width, the only caution I would have is to be sure your 4x4s are solid and straight/level. This is easy to build and install and put your own pickets on the OUTSIDE. The gate can open inward (preferred) or outward. Issue with outward is that the gate hardware is visible if you mount pickets on the outside and try...

Not that great
Would Not RecommendI’m a former Seabee with lots of building experience. The concept is great but the hardware is cheap, if you follow the instructions your gate pickets will not be flush with the face of your fence. It goes up easy but once I started putting pickets on the gate it sagged, even with the tension wire. I would definitely not try and use this for any gate over 4 ft the way it comes.
Easy gate kit
Would RecommendThis gate kit is very easy to install and work with. You purchase your top and bottom support 2x4's and decide what material to use for your pickets. We used cedar. It looks great! We were very pleased.

Save your money!
Would Not RecommendCheap metal, poorly made. Invest in a heavier duty gate if you are going to use it often.

awesome gate
Would Recommendthis gate was easy to put together. it looks great once it's completely assembled. the instructions were easy to follow. One person can assemble in about two hours working at a moderate pace.
Cable
Would Not RecommendI understand 'WHY' the cable is loose at one end, but the plastic cover kept tearing and we finally had to go and buy ANOTHER turn buckle!!! Very poor design! Instructions also are horrible! We had never installed a gate before and had to start over 5times!!!

Awesome gate frame
Would Recommendgoes together very easily, works great, used it for a 5 foot gate with no problems

Frame is good but...
Would RecommendThe frame and the kit is good but the cable is vinyl coated and slips through the swaged end if it’s a bigger gate. Had to go back and buy regular steel cable and drilled through the to through bolt an eye bolt (definitely overkill, but if you’re already redoing it make it last forever).

Works as advertised
Would RecommendI was able to get this up in no time. Instructions were good enough to get everything on first try. Solid build. All hardware needed comes with kit as well. Make sure to use 1/2” spade bit for hinge bolts, any bigger and the screw bolt will wiggle and fall out upon use.

Gate that you can be happy with
Would RecommendIn my coastal area I will have to see if the salt air will cut the longevity of the frame. Other than that concern, it was easy to install. Frame put very little weight on the gate . Light and easy to open vs a gate made with treated 2x4

Great Gate
Would RecommendExcellent design that permits adjustments to compensate for slightly "out of alignment" posts. Easy to assemble and it should keep my rebuilt gate looking good for years. A truly superior product.

Easy - we used it in a little different way
We needed a gate inside the fence to keep the dog from the trash can area. For this application we did not need wooden pickets. We used the frame and added welded wire, and this gave us a fence that was about 4 feet high. We attached it to a wooden post, cut the two 2x4 pieces to fit on the top and bottom, used the included wood screws, added the tension wire, and then attached the welded wire. One tip if you do this - when it came to attaching the welded wire,we removed the gate and placed it f...
Avoid this
Bought this to build a 5 foot wide gate as it stated it would do. After un boxing it and seeing how flimsy and cheaply it was made. I took it back. I wouldn't risk standing on this thing like the picture on the box shows unless you want to hurt yourself, let alone hang 40 pounds of wood on it! Save your money and time and go another route
