Installation is frequently described as straightforward and simple, with included pipe insulation and blanket appreciated as value-added features. Most find it an excellent replacement for older units. However, a small number report serious defects including tank failures within months and dents upon arrival, raising durability concerns for some customers.

Beyond Frustrated
Would Not RecommendI bought this online and had it delivered. Lowe's purchase and delivery process was wonderful. Had a plumber install it and the water was still cold the next day. Had to pay for the plumber to come back and take another day off of work. He said the element was bad, so I had to pay for a new part from Lowes to fix it. It's absolutely ridiculous that you buy something new and it doesn't work. Not to mention having to take PTO from work and all the additional expenses to fix.

Little Tank with Big Objectives!
Well I installed this little monster with a coworker and it was pretty frigging easy...my adorable plumber was busy and encouraged us and we felt like we could do it so that's exactly what we did! It was pretty funny but what's even funnier is that we have HOT WATER!

Lasted 13 years
Would RecommendThis is a replacement for the exact model we currently have. Our first tank lasted 13 years. I believe if we had maintained it better, it may have lasted longer. I dropped 1 star because we picked up the new tank and it was damaged. Brought the 2nd tank home and it is damaged as well (dented on bottom of tank and top near the lid 😣 🤷♀️
