Would RecommendBought this knife for slicing bread, rolls, muffins, and cakes. It is too short for flattening cake layers in one cut which is the reason for the 4 stars. I will be purchasing a 10" bread knife in the near future. It has proven to be very useful for slicing meat, for example thin slices of chicken breast meat. It is very sharp and very well balanced. Would RecommendSolid in the hand, outstanding quality, razor sharp. Beautifully balanced. We have had other Henkels knives for 30 years and use them daily - they are as good as they day we received them as wedding presents.
