Easy to install and the app is awesome. To not have to worry about fumbling to unlock the door when you get home or forgetting to lock before you leave with the automatic unlock and lock makes this well worth it. User setup and notifications easy.

Avoid horrible support

Yale Assure 2: A Smart Lock That Fails Dumbly My Yale Assure 2 lock failed just after two years of use—conveniently outside the warranty window. One day it stopped working entirely, displaying an undocumented error code and becoming non-responsive. It didn’t mechanically jam; it entered an unknown error state, likely tied to Bluetooth failure. I verified with a spectrum analyzer—there was no longer any Bluetooth signal being emitted. Not a market ready product

The manufacturer replaced the first one after the bolt mechanism shattered within the first year. Before it constantly lost calibration and the Yale Door Sense is about worthless. I've reinstalled the flush mount and surface mount with no change after installing the warranty replacement. I have the magnet as close to the Yale logo as it can get and still manages to fail calibration. Factory resets and time spent with Yale has been a waste.

Missing parts

We really wanted to like this lock for our new door but it was a headache. There were no instructions or QR code for install. The box was missing ALL screw sets. We had to find our own . tHEN once installed, the key which is listed as an included item was missing as well. Disappointed! We're removing the lock and returning now.

Smart lock transition

We purchased three yale smart locks for our new home. My son had recently installed the Yale smart locks and liked them. We purchased ones with a key option just in case of battery failure. They are sleek and have a dark screen until touched. They installed relatively easily. (Actually, removing the old locks was the hardest part due to their age and the fact they had been secured with adhesive as well as screws!) Pleased with this Lock

So far I am pleased with the way this lock works on my door. I like the fact I can punch in a code or use my phone to get inside.
