PURCHASE THE WARRANTY - mine died in 2.5 years

I purchased this model from Lowe's on 9/9/23 and on 4/29/26 (~2.5 years) the repairman said it was a bad water pump and the quote to repair was close to that of a new dish washer. So....PURCHASE THE WARRANTY! I am now going to purchase a new dishwasher. I will see I use the dishwasher almost every day, so I have definitely put it to work...still 2.5 years is a bit shocking to already have to purchase a new one again.

Whirlpool model WDT730HAMZ

bought in November of 2024. Started just running when it wanted to. Sometimes the start button would not come on. Checked the door latch for power, worked, all other buttons would come on even the cancel and the empty pump would come on. Tried unplugging, to reset. The power board shows damage? It is $200 + so trash it is. today is April , 2026. $500+ wasted.

Control Panel

Purchased April 23 2025 , as of April 28 2026 the control panel went out. starts on it's own. 4 days out of warranty. started doing it weeks ago. repair bill to fix is 590.00, only paid 535.000 new. all my appliances are whirlpool. Control panel stopped working in less than a year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this in our new home. We used to use it regularly (5-6x/ week). But the control panel stopped working after a few months.

Below standard build quality

"Hybrid" Stainless Steel is a deceptive term that means plastic tub with SS door. Inlet connection places hoses in a position where they will rub (and wear) with vibration. Drain hose has a cheesy clamp to connect to the unit. Overall light duty and not impressive.

It has had problems since it arrived. It turns itself on. It resets the entire cycle constantly.

Dishwasher

This unit was on sale and seemed like a perfect addition to our kitchen. We are very pleased with the performance and the installation. We will continue to do our home appliance business with Lowe's.

A DECENT MACHINE AT A DECENT PRICE

Pros - I like the stainless steel outer shell; I love the washing cycle - get everything clean and dry; The price is fair but not great; Delivery was fast and great Cons - I do not like the plastic inner shell; I always wondered why trim is not offered to finish the installation; The mounting bracket on the upper trim is not only difficult to install but also unsightly; the electrical box was very difficult to open due to a weird T20 screw to open; the so called insulation was not connected in ...

If you have lots of dishes this is your dishwasher

Control panel doesn’t work

Just after our warranty expired, we started having issues with the start button. We called whirlpool and they offered nothing but a $350 service visit. We have to press the start button several hundred times before it eventually decides to start. Then, the machine has the also self starts for no reason at random times whenever the door is closed.

They brought it right out the my truck and helped me load it . I haven’t installed it yet, or unboxed it. but my curbside pick up was perfect ! You do need to buy the hose and plug separately, they don’t come w/ it , so make sure to add that to your cart !

Disappointed

I have had my dishwasher almost two years, was very pleased until it started randomly turning on and then not turning on when I tried to start it.
