My ice maker is now dead

I had this ice maker for over 3 years and it made good clear ice but today it is no longer making ice today :( The water runs but it no longer freezes. I am now going to have to look into getting a new one. I don’t know if i will buy whirlpool again bc i feel that it should have lasted for more than 3 years for the price i paid for it. Buyer beware.

Love the machine

We have had this unit installed since March 2023 and has never skipped a beat! It has excellent recovery when emptied completely. The cubes are crystal clear.

Needs repair from day one !

Easy to Install and High Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 10 years I had to replace my non- repairable bar ice maker. My repairman suggest Whirlpool or 1 other brand. Said others would not last. I found great quality and easy to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this ice maker a little over two weeks ago and had it installed. After suffering some difficulties with its operation I complained to Whirlpool who is sending a tech to look at it. At the moment I am not pleased with its operation nor the responsiveness of Whirlpool regarding my problem.

3 Years

Not worth the cost of the service call. The commercial brand I had before lasted 13 years. Don't use built in. It's a Hot Box. These are not air cooled from the front. There is no fan on the condenser. Using it like an ice chest with bagged ice.

good icemaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size/shape of the cubes. Also, the design of the scooper and holder is well placed for easy access and storage without touching the ice in the bin. One negative is that it makes a lot of periodic noise, much more than my previous icemaker. I can hear water running and the machine humming from our pantry (not close by). Overall, it is a good appliance.

Doesn't work, but dealer very responsive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one week ago. It does not work, but the dealer has been extremely responsive. They sent a lower-level employee out within a few hours of my calling them and sent a technician within two working days. He came yesterday. He said he needed a part that he hoped he could get today and that, if he could, he would install it today. I gave it two stars instead of one because the dealer responded so well.

Ice maker
