Would RecommendWe bought this generator as a backup for use dry camping but also as a home backup. With the recent ice storm that has crippled much of the mid south, it came in handy. Pulled it out of the box, added oil (yes oil fill outlet could stand to extend out further but with a long funnel is manageable), and started it up. A generator that requires a battery to start...
Would Not RecommendGenerator works well except for the fact that it requires a battery to start. Kinda defeats the whole purpose. Tried the pull cord for 30 or 40 pulls, nothing. Put the battery on the charger for just a bit and started fine with the pull string. AND the battery used is a very odd size and I can't find a replacement that isn't some off brand trash. The provided battery only lasted a year or so.

Would RecommendI purchased this to replace a smaller and older generator, that is very loud. Tried it to test function, have not had to use it for a storm yet. It is very quiet and easy to set up.
