It’s not wire bristles - which are problematic as the brush ages. The nylon pad is course enough but it sometimes falls off the handle. All in all, a decent inexpensive option

Would RecommendI do not know why people are complaining that the pad comes off the handle. The scrub brush is awesome. In the 5 minuets I used the brush the pad came off twice. Big deal, it does the job it was intended for. Gets in-between the grates with ease and takes off the hard burnt on food particles. For the price you will not find a better alternative in my opinion.

Would Not RecommendSure it cleans off the charred grates but it ruins them in the process. My fairly new Smokefire Sear+ has nice stainless grates and 1 pass with this scrubber scratched them badly. I'm sure the coating is gone now and they won't clean up nicely anymore. Um HELLO WEBER! Your own branded scrubber damaged my grill. Very unhappy!
