Fast for Big Jobs

I found this item on Clearance at my local Lowe's store. I was looking for something to help with a huge job (7 rooms) and this fit the bill perfectly. It will definitely take some practice to get used to, but it will really speed up the process. Walls fantastic . . . ceilings challenging. very heavy

I used this for two days and then returned because it was very heavy to use, The roller when filled with paint combined with the weight of the handle, coupled with the weight of the paint in the hose it was almost imposable to paint my 8 foot ceiling in my kitchen, also i was always stepping on the hose. I love this product. I use it to paint apartments at our complex.

I love this product. I use it to paint apartments at our complex. The only down side, is that I have to return it for a new one. For some reason it will not power on. Using different outlets and even a different location. Also, I wish you could reverse the flow like the SMART ROLLER, to pull the paint through the hose for storage....

Saves a lot of time and mess

I had to paint the walls of a media room that are 6 feet by 38 feet and 12 feet by 10 feet. I guarantee I would have found every opening in my drop cloth and dropped those stupid cheap roller trays atleast twice. With 5 gallon bucket pouring it would have broken my back and I would have spilled every time. This product needs a flow controller!

I bought the Smart Sidekick yesterday (11/6/2014), I am returning it in the morning. This product seemed great, but there was absolutely now way to control the paint flow rate. The pump was either on or off. When on, it pumped so fast that paint was gushing all over my walls & floors. I was able to cover a 10 x 25 ft wall in under 1 minute. This was with paint running down the wall & dripping from the roller. Once cover I had to go back, spread the paint out evenly, and deal with the excess. On...

Best roller ever!

As a customer cabinetmaker for almost 30 years I've used many, many different application products for fine finishes to house painting. This one is a winner. Draw paint directly from almost any size container, no thinning, no drips (after 20 minutes of practice), no bending, no splatter. I can't say enough about it! It's worth every penny!

Difficult to clean and change color

If you are painting a lot of area, this product could be useful. I painted two rooms with it--and I think the time it took me to clean it was likely comparable to the time it saved me from rolling by hand. Would be very nice tool for doing large areas of one color, like ceilings. Rolls a bit different than a traditional roller, you have to be more careful with runs and getting too much paint on areas. After buying a new home we needed to paint most of the rooms. We looked at several different products and settled for this one. This is awesome! You can paint large areas very quickly. I recommend watching the videos for the best experience(especially cleaning) The power cord is short. I find myself moving the machine around to locate a outlet. Beware if you would like to use an extension cord, it requires 3 prongs. Not really much into reviews, so bear with me. I had to paint my living room, which encompasses an open floor plan; so also the of foyer and hallway. They are all rather large spaces, and the thought of tackling this job was nearly as bad as hearing my wife constantly mention the project. Great product - simple but very useful concept! A real time saver! I used the SMART SideKick Roller to paint the bedroom and bathroom at my sister's house. She did all the cutting in and taping while I used the roller. We both loved how much faster the job went b/c I did not have to keep loading the roller in the tray. My brother brought his Sidekick to help me with a large painting project. I thought it would take forever and I was not looking forward to it. I couldn't have been more wrong. The set up was easy, we painted a huge wall in under 10 minutes, and the clean up was a non event. I can't wait to pick the colors for the rest of the house so I can use the Sidekick again. I highly recommend it, especially if you don't enjoy painting!

Easy Rolling

The sidekick is easy to use and easy to set-up. I was able to paint our large family room. I liked how the unit connects to the gallon of paint and it is easy to carry around the room. It was awesome not having to fill up a paint tray and one less thing to clean. Worked great.
