Quite a mess!

The price was right, but what a mess I had. When you pause in your painting, the vacuum pressure keeps dribbling out paint even though you're not pressing the trigger. If you're not careful and still have the unit facing your project(in my case it was a garage door), it spits and spurts globs of paint. Then you either let them go or brush them out. Absolutely a GREAT product...I did not need to thin my paint at all and it sprayed evenly without clogging

Leaked paint from the tip

Paint started pouring from the tip of this product when I first tried using it. I tried tightening everything but couldn't make it stop. I returned this and exchanged it for a different brand with a continuous blower separate from the gun and that worked much better with less overspray.

Makes a Mess of Your Project

I bought this unit brand new. The first time I used this sprayer it started spitting out globs of paint after only a couple of minutes. I was using latex paint and I thinned it first. It would do this repeatedly, on and off. Sort of a 'good spray'...bad spray...type of thing. It ruined my project and once the mess dried I re-sanded to bare wood and started over with a roller! I do not recommend this product.

Ready to Paint

I wanted a paint sprayer that was easy to use with reasonable performance and price. The Wagner PaintReady accomplished all the above. I spray painted the interior doors in my house with un-thinned latex paint. The sprayer worked as advertised. PaintReady Electric-Powered HVLP paint sprayer

I purchased this sprayer to paint all the "gingerbread" (spindles) around the top of my porch, wicker porch furniture and general use. I thought it worked well, it definitely consumes more paint than using a brush but saves time. You need to cover things because there is a lot of overspray. Good product

This painter does very well. My only issue with it is how heavy it was. I was painting a basement open beam ceiling and my arms barely lasted through a gallon of paint. Cleanup was very easy and I think it will be a very good unit for vertical work

Lacks endurance.

I purchased this sprayer to paint a loft and 3 bedrooms. Out of the box it is great. sprays evenly and with no problems. after first use... if you spray for 5-10 min consistently it starts blowing hot air, and dries the paint before it leaves the tip. Refilling the pump is not hard.. but it takes a long time to prime.. so eventually after 1 coat of paint you need to stop for about 1/2hr for it to cool down, if not it will blotch the paint out. The wife stained 5 sheds in about 2 hours...great time saver, easy to use and easy clean up.

great product

Used correctly it turns jobs that would take days into jobs that take hours. Clean up was not as bad as I had heard. Water based products are easy as most of the parts can be taken apart and put in the water. I even used this with a masonry paint (very thick, probably not recommended) and it did fine.

Ok product

The sprayer is easy to clean and put back together. It functions as it's supposed to. The only gripe I have is that it uses a lot more paint than I'm used to with any sprayer and it does not have that wide of a spray area. It's best used for small rooms and projects, or if you just want to knock out a textured ceiling over rolling it.

Disappointed

I used the sprayer for approx. 30 minutes before it started to clog. I cleared the clog with no problem; except the paint started to back up into the motor housing. Fixed that. I started painting again when the sprayer repeated the same process. This time the paint flowed into the motor. It was time to take it back for a refund!!!

Reprint after use

I purchase this sprayer to paint my kitchen cabinets. Never once did it spray correctly, either the paint doesn't come out, or it sprays it in one huge clump. I ended up having to paint with a roller. HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!

Poor design of trigger pivot.

Trigger pivot pins pop out of mounting and caused sprayer to not stop. Made a big mess before able to unplug. Returning to store for refund.

Great finiish, but single use product?

Like everyone else, the tip cracked within 1 gallon of use. The gun did not fire unthinned latex as I'd hoped, but with some thinning it did a good job. Overspray was higher than I'd expected. I'd only purchased this over the lower cost units because it listed 'unthinned latex' on the box. But it really didn't work until thinned. Bad product design

This might have been a good product except poor selection of material and/or design of nozzle. Bought sprayer about 40 days ago but started to use only about 20 days ago to refinish some furniture. Only used sprayer 5 times, 4 with Bher latex gloss. First time not thinned, next 3 times thinned 1 cup per gallon. The spraying was not acceptable on either vertical or horizontal surfaces. Not Good

The black nozzle cap also cracked during the first use. Really small cracks on each side of the opening. Hard to see, but found it after doing a thorough examination. The paint started gushing out of the nozzle when I let off of the trigger, and then splattered when I started spraying again. I tried cleaning and tightening a few times, but then found the cracks. Extremely disappointed. Made a huge mess.

Awesome better than expected

First of all I was looking for a Control Sprayer but found out this sprayer is the replacement the Control Sprayer. This was confirm with technical assistance from Wagner. I was also given good advice to use some water first to get use to sprayer and its adjustments. Sprayed a 6 piece wood patio set using Behr solid color stain. No problems at all.
