Good for smaller household paint jobs

Used this to paint an old wicker chair and it worked well. But recommend following directions precisely, including straining paint when necessary.

First time user

We had to paint our wood privacy fence. It seemed like a daunting task for 2 older people. But the ladies at the Lowe's paint desk told us that using the Wagner control painter would make the job easier. They were right! We are painting a few sections of the fence each day. And it's going well. It's easy to use and to clean up. Very glad that we bought this paint sprayer!

At first this sprayer was awesome after I figured out how much product I wanted to apply to my surface. It was very touchy & you will be constantly tweaking it as you work depending on the area you are working on. The second time out I fought with the sprayer the whole time with the same product. The nozzle kept clogging, it either wanted to spray a ton of product or hardly any at all so I ended up tearing it apart & cleaning it yet again. Nice sprayer for the money.

We bought the sprayer to redo the underneath framing of our deck. It was heavy for me to use. But for smaller projects I could handle it. Made one mistake we let it sit for about 10 minutes to cover up a sliding glass door on the upper deck. Had to clean it completely and start over. Wish it had a cap of some sort just in case you need to stop as we did. Cleaned it up like new and will be using it again on other projects.

A lot of prep work

This gun will increase production but the seal on the paint canister leaks causing a heap of trouble. You will use a lot of paint or stain so make sure you have plenty of waste factored into your project.

Saved the day

1500 sq ft to paint, 90 degrees outside, only one day to finish the project.... and my HVLP with pancake compressor decides to die. HD didn't want to rent me their big sprayer (because I was using solid stain), so I went to my local Lowes and saw this beautiful thing around. SAVED MY DAY! Best $100 spent ever! I painted the whole fence in 4 hours with great results! (lattice included)

Works like a dream

I've never used any others to compare this too, but I've had no issues at all using this to paint my house. Makes the job much faster!

I've never used a paint sprayer before, this one is a good one to start with . Very easy to use and quiet. Paint tip does drip and spit when tip starts drying up, but that was my fault. Highly recommend this sprayer.

Time ssver!

I used this yesterday to paint a mobilhome skirt. Last weekend it took me 8 hrs to paint less than half way, doing it on my hands and knees in 104 degree heat. With the Wagner Comtrol Painter I did the other two sides in less than 2 hrs! And it gave me a better finish than with a brush. I didn’t have to thin the paint either which gave me the assuance that the paint job will last for many years to come.

Great for fences

I bought this sprayer to paint a 6-foot privacy fence with solid stain. It took about 4 hours to fully paint 165 feet of 6-foot fence, and the sprayer worked perfectly without overheating. It can spatter just a bit, but on the fence material it's completely unnoticeable once it dries. It took about 3.5 gallons of stain to cover the fence, and I didn't have any trouble with show-through. The sprayer is easy to handle, although it can be a bit heavy when the cup is full of paint.
