I followed all instructions - placing the plastic spike deep in the soil (just the solar panel showing) - I used two of these spikes and the moles remained active all around the spike.

Would RecommendThis is easy to install and requires almost no maintenance or effort. It is solar powered so it does not take batteries or require an outlet. Since putting this in my yard I have not seen any new mole holes or signs of activity. You can hear an occasional buzzing which lets you know that it is working.

It works but...
Would RecommendI got this product to prevent moles from a small patch near my rear driveway...it works very effectively. But. It only lasted a year before I need to replace it. It was not run over or damaged. It just got lower and barely audible anymore. Not nearly what it sounds like new.
