What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed performance, with some users finding it effective at catching mice, while others reported significant issues. The main problems cited include difficulty setting the traps, premature or failed triggering, and safety concerns. Customers seem to prefer the older, metal-based mouse trap designs over these newer plastic versions, and the general sentiment is that the product is unreliable and not worth the purchase.

Small mice only
Traps work ok on smaller mice but nothing full grown or rat size.

Won't Trip
Would Not RecommendNo matter what I use as bait the mouse eats it and the trap will not trip. I have always used the metal ones and this is the first time I tried the ones with the plastic trays. I never had a problem with the metal ones, but these with the plastic trays are not working. The mice keep eating the bait and the traps will not trip.
We’re sorry the Wide Pedal Mouse Trap hasn’t been working properly. If mice are taking the bait without triggering the trap, it could help to reduce ...
Very Effective
Would RecommendSetting these traps require a bit of skill, but they sure are flawless for killing mice. I would never use these indoors because they can make a mess.

Did not work
Would Not RecommendSet four traps. All of them had triggered overnight but all the bait was gone. They have a hair-trigger and slight movement triggers it. If a mouse has even touched any area of the trap the trigger would have set and from that point on it would have been safe for it to enjoy the bait. At least this is what my theory is!
The copper pedal ones are better
Would Not RecommendAbout half of the plastic pedal traps are impossible to set.
Tried and true.

Worked within minutes of setting it
Would RecommendHad a little mouse who loved peanutbutter. Set the trap and within a few minutes the trap worked like a charm. Very happy to not have a mouse burrowing in the wall.
Zero Stars
Would Not RecommendOnly purchase these traps if your goal is to feed mice. I baited a trap with peanut butter, and have continually found the bait to be gone without triggering the trap. I went as far as to Gorilla glue a peanut to the bait platform and smear some peanut butter on the peanut thinking that would have to do the trick. Nope. The entire peanut was eaten over a period of time and the trap didn’t go off. I had 4 of these traps set throughout our home without any success. Unless you’re interested in feed...
Useless
Would Not RecommendThese have really been cheapened up anymore and won't even hold a mouse. I frequently find one tripped but no mouse. The mice the cat catches are really tiny, can't understand that a trap won't hold them.
Trigger Happy
Would Not RecommendSetting these things is like a bad jack-in-the-box. You move your finger off of the set bar and it will randomly snap shut, scaring the life out of you and making you fear for the integrity of your digits…..or it won’t. It’ll set fine and catch you a pesky critter. The classic design, but they’ve gotten cheaper in quality over the years.
