Take your time, be sure to prep area

The product was sort of like working with wet cement, the flakes were spotty, not uniform, used a brush to cut in permiter, then poured drictly on drive, smoothed out with trowel and then roller, hope it dries even

Issues

Bought 9/20/25, put down on fresh concrete and after finishing the project it looked amazing but with in 2 weeks I spilled water on it and stained the paint “discolored”. Does anyone know if I have to put something on after I put it down? Has anyone had this issue of discoloration?

Good product, but can get expensive

I used this on an old, pretty rough, concrete patio. It worked well, but it took at least three coats to provide a good-looking finish. There was a section of my patio that was still smooth and the product worked MUCH better on that. It looks terrific there. Just be aware that you will likely have to use more than you think! Great Product

It has a nice clean finish that is textured. Took me two coats to do concrete front porch and steps. I personally did not have any issues rolling it or edging it. It does have a thicker consistency, but spread nice with the Valspar rollers for textured walls, ceilings, and concrete. Have to roll a few times to get it saturated before it spreads evenly. Concrete Renewed

I have stamped ribbons on my cement driveway that were painted terra cotta. When wet, that paint made them very slippery. That paint faded after several years of intense sun, so new coloring was in order. I saw the Valspar Master Stone in an ad on Facebook and thought I'd try it on the driveway ribbons. Easy to apply

A little pricey

Shaking at the retailer doesn’t mix the paint.

It gives the gravel feel, but it takes several coats and the paint is very expensive.

Don't buy this

We were at Lowes on Saturday looking at getting an epoxy kit to use for our patio, we have used one before in a garage. An employee said we’d be better off using a new product from Valspar, that it would be quicker and easier than epoxy and looks great. We bought the primer and 2 cans of the sandy shore in cabin stone. He stated 2 cans would be plenty for our patio. Anywhere you have concert you can paint

The application was easy and it rolled right on and only needed one application. The slip-resistant texture in this paint makes it ideal for garages, front porches, working areas, etc. Anywhere you have concert you can add this paint.

Does not cover ver well

Consistency of cake batter , does not cover very well , hard to spread

Easy to apply

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The slip resistance is there but light. It’s easy to apply as it’s only one step, with two coats. Good for garage, though the color is a little too dark.

Have patience

Thankfully we spoke to a rep at Lowes that was knowledgeable about this product and warned us not to be disappointed by the 1st coat. Took us 3 coats until it looked nice. 1st coat was horrible, 2nd better, 3rd looked really nice, probably could have used a 4th but not for $60/gal and used a gallon per coat. Also feel around in the can with a paint stirrer before use. We had 2 cans that the "anti-skid" was all lumped together the size of a golf ball. Time will tell durability.

Make sure flakes are mixed in well

The second can I bought the flakes were in a big clump at bottom of can. Took about 10 minutes to break it up and stir it in. Goes on a light gray then darkens as it dries.

Valspar is a name you can trust

Great experience with this product. Third time using it. I would also like to mention Ray at the Vero Beach location. His customer service was a 15 out of 10. You need more associates like him.

End result is beautiful

The end result is great. Just know that it may take 3 or more coats to fully get the needed coverage. This can be costly.
