Poor hiding ability overall poor quality

I have been a painter for over 30 years and this is really poor quality paint. It is 3 coat coverage, not one coat coverage as advertised. Won't even cover a similar color in one coat. Very thin. I know much cheaper paints that are substantially higher quality than this is. And the price is about double what it should be for the quality of the product. I am using the egg shell.

Great Paint

I love this color as an accent wall. I have created a beach themed office space that is very relaxing. The paint went on smoothly and covered the lavender walls nicely with just two coats.

So disappointed

I’ve been painting for over 30 years and have always bought the best paint. We painted over off white walls with the ultra white. Used your best “cover all” primer over some maroon as well. Neither covered with one one coat. I’ll never use this expensive paint again.

The good stuff

Lowe's upgraded to this paint at no additional cost because they were out of the lower priced product. Great coverage. One coat coverage white on white. (your mileage may vary)

I have used about 14 gal of the ultra white paint in my house .I tried several types of rollers 3/8" & 1/2" rollers. the finish product is good but I can not say that this paint is 1 coat. I painted over light pastel colors and in all the rooms I had to put 2 coats of paint. If you are ok with 2 coats this paint is for you. If you are wanting to only put 1 coat and be done than this paint is not for you. I also have used this paint with a light tint and had the same results. I hope this helps s...

Paint dries too fast

This is the worst paint we have ever worked with. You can roll paint down the wall in one direction but when you try to smooth it out it took the primer and other coat of paint right off the wall.

The easy way the paint went on and covered the walls.

Does NOT provide 1 coat coverage !!

I would not recommend this paint at all. It does not cover in 1 coat, is much too thin, difficult to apply evenly and generally hard to work with. For the cost I think you could find a far better quality paint to use for your project. We were thoroughly disappointed with this paint.

This is without a doubt one of the worst cans of paint I have ever used. I have used Behr and Valspar paints for years and have never had one that was even near this bad. Great paint, worth the price

This isn’t quite one coat coverage, especially if you’re trying to paint plain “ultra white” over navy blue or dark grey, and in general I always had to touch up the edges I brushed vs rollered esp with the various light/off-white shades. Great paint

I bought this paint for a basement reno project. The Lowes assistance matched it perfectly to the color sample in the brochure. The paint went on smooth and even. I did need two coats as I was painting over a deep blue color. Highly recommended!

This paint is CRAP

One coat coverage? No way. We used a gallon of white primer and then 3 coats of this is cover a TAN paint!. Incredibly disappointed. and I STILL have to get 2 more gallons, for a total of 6 gallons for a small LIVING ROOM! Sherwin Williams is not the company they used to be. What can't I give this ZERO stars?

I followed instruction, even primed the wall first. I applied 2 coats of paint and the other color is coming through. Total waste of my $$

Excellent luxurious coat

This was recommended to me over a much better priced store brand paint by Lowes associate in the paint department. I would traditionally use the store brand and was happy with it. Sherman Williams is a few notches above, for sure. very smooth luxurious coverage look and feel.
