Used once. Never, and literally mean NEVER cures. Horrible product.

Does Not Dry, EVER!

I bought a can of the metallic brilliant effects silver spray to redo a view pieces of plastic from my car. I did everything by the book, and I mean I am meticulous . I sanded down the rails, cleaned them thoroughly, scuffed up the surface, primed, sanded the prime, heavy coat primer, dried....then the nightmare began. rubs off even after dry

I bought the metalic gold color after hearing some good reviews on it. be warned that the color is not the same as what is shown or expected. the gold is more of a bronze than a yellow gold. that wasn't my issue though. i followed the directions and did 3 thin coats waiting for it to dry in between. the spray was easy to use and dried fairly quickly. however, even after waiting 3 days the paint rubbed off on whatever brushed it. it scratches off very quickly as well. it leave a light sheen of sp...

Still not dry

This paint will not dry. I've painted many video game consoles with other brands and been able to reassemble in about 48 hours. But not with this paint I've had the shells I painted in a dry room for over 48 hours and its still tacky. The humidity in the room is around 30% and the temperature is around 80°F. Any other paint would have been completely dry by now. Only chose this paint for the colors but that may have been a mistake.

Bad coverage

Painted a wicker nightstand, immediately paint began chipping off once a lamp (with a felt bottom) was paced on top. It took 1.5 cans to achieve a mostly uniform color, but there is still white showing through. My hand is weak from the poor ergonomics of the spray design. Liked the color but there's no point in using this product if it's going to chip right away. Will definitely not buy again.... I'm going to look into getting a refund.

Car Repaint Project

I originally bought this paint to repaint a lower bumper repair, but the match and appearance was so good, I decide to repaint the entire car, whose original paint was very oxidized and faded, and had been touched up many places over the years. I sanded the original finish, cleaned it with paint remover and lacquer thinner, masked everything off, and put 2 full coats on after going once over the high contrast prior repair areas. Large Finger Pad

The large finger pad is more comfortable, but that is of no use when the spray will not come out. If the whole can is not used the first time you use it, you may as well throw the rest away because of the last 3 cans I have used I have had to dispose of approximately 90% of the paint because it will not spray after it has once been used.

Never cures

Even though it stunk to high heaven and the thick lingering smell permiated every room in the house I was very optimistic regarding the results. the color was excellent...But I've been waiting a month, in the dryest room in the house, under a going fan for this to cure...still tacky to the touch. This is ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This paint will not dry.

It's been about a week. I used it on a guitar body, alder. It indicates on the can it is for metal, wood, and plastic. The paint refuses to cure. I love the color, but I cannot re-assemble anything until the tackiness goes away. And it won't go away. I have heard similar things from other "luthiers" that have repained guitar bodies with this paint. I wish I had heard from them before painting the electric guitar.

Do not buy.

I loved the color option and the price point for this paint. Unfortunately the spray cans leave a LOT to be desired. The micro droplet spray creates a LOT more overspray than normal spray cans, making masking more difficult, making build-up on the already-painted surfaces greater(near impossible to get consistent texture that way) and putting more paint in the air and less on the project. Very Good Product

I have purchased a number of different brands of spray paint from the cheapest store brand to the most elite of rattle cans. So many reviews claim that drying time is an issue and I too have discovered this. As well I have encountered with every can of Valspar that the propellant drops in velocity to an unusable state at about 25% remaining in the 340g rattle can resulting in sputtering and splotches. Bad can's

The last 4 time's I have spray painted project's the paint can stop's working right in the middle of the job,once I can understand but 4 time's give me a break. Right now I am very aggetated I am going to take it back and hope they will exchange it,the job is not done and I have over a half of can left and nothing come's out.

hard to use

I FIND THAT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SPRAY THIS CAN,MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A SMOOTH COAT OF PAINT. i ALSO USED A CAN OF THE FLAT SEALER AND RUINED A PIECE OF FURNITURE i HAD PAINTED. aND THE WAY THE CAN IS MADE i CAN NOT USE A HANDLE ON IT TO MAKE IT EASIER TO SPRAY. wILL NOT BUY THIS AGAIN. sHAME TOO, i LOVE vALSPAR PAINT AND USE A LOT OF SPRAY PAINT.

Amazing Finish

I bought valspar spray paint to use on a metal shelf and it turned out amazing. I used it about a year ago and the shelf still looks like as new as it did when i bought it. The paint has really held good to the metal. It doesn't chip like some spray paints do. I would recommend it for all of those DIY projects.

Amazing

I purchased a couple cans to paint various objects to match my accent wall colours and it was spot on and made everything in my rooms pop and bring together my design.

Never dries!

Bought several cans of this to finish a benchrest rifle stock. Filled and sanded the wood: 80 grit, 180 grit, 400 grit, and finished with 600 grit, sprayed two coats of Valspar primer, four coats of Valspar paint, and finished with two coats of Valspar clear. I waited at least 48 hours and up to 7 days between each coat and then wet-sanded with 600 grit and let dry overnight before spraying the next coat. Valspar Decorator Spray

Purchased 4 cans of the white decorator spray to finish a wood display cabinet before assembly and to provide a more professional finished project. The wood was cut, predrilled, routed as necessary and cleaned for refinishing. Two coats of Valspar primer was applied to seal the wood and promote adhesion of the top coat. Normally I would expect to start to topcoat in a couple of hours but checking the condition of the primer - not dry even though the label indicates dry to the touch in 1 hr. Okay...

Splotchy finish

I bought the satin Encounter light blue to re-do a garage sale bedroom set for my daughter. I heard spray paint was a fast inexpensive way to go. I sanded all the finish off and used the paint+primer (I didn't prime separately because the label clearly said primer was included). This paint went on horrible!
