What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally well-received, with many praising its ability to neatly store and organize long extension cords and cables. The majority of reviewers find it easy to use, with the reel mechanism allowing for quick and tidy cord storage. However, the product's quality and durability are mixed, with some reporting it as sturdy and well-made, while others found the plastic construction to be flimsy and prone to breaking. Some customers also mentioned the need to carefully wind the cord to prevent it from slipping off the reel. Overall, the product seems to work well for its intended purpose of storing and managing long electrical cords, especially for shorter lengths.

Would RecommendThese new versions of this product are not as sturdy as the older ones I have owned for years. Rolling up the cord the wheel just felt flimsy.
cord organizer
Would RecommendThese reels are great for storing christmas string ligths.
Not up to the job
Would Not RecommendProduct description claims reel will hold up to 100 feet of 12/3 cord. It will only hold about 75 feet... not good enough! Taking it back to the store.
Perfect!
Would RecommendThis organizer is perfect. Easy to hold and wind. I use it for extension cords and pool backwash hoses!
Way too fragile
Would Not RecommendThese are a different brand then Lowe's carried in the past. The plastic is not near as thick. The material appears to be far more brittle than the older products. Out of the six purchased that day, two are cracked. One shattered. These are not suited to any kind of real world woking environment. My guess is they may not last very long in a home environment either. Ended up having to go to a farm and ranch store to find the reels Lowes used to sell.
Don’t drop it!
Would Not RecommendIt works for the intended application but be careful not to drop it with any amount of cord wound on the reel. The plastic is “hard” and may crack. I bought two and had to take one back as it was cracked and I did not see the crack when I bought it. As always , Lowe’s stood behind it. The reel should be handled accordingly.
fair, does its job
Would RecommendThere is no clip to hold the initial wrap in place. I like to have the female end out the side so that I don't have to fully unwind the cord to use it the next time if I don't need all the length; this is possible but not part of the design. A hanging loop near the outside circumference would be nice to accommodate hanging on a pegboard hook. The handle is reasonable, I like the center bar of the last one better. I suspect it will get stiffer to turn easily over just a few seasons. But cheap, an...
Perfect! Just what I was looking for to keep my extension cords from getting tangled. Now cords are nice and neat put up in the garage.
Cord
Would Recommendgreat to keep extension cords coiled and even xmas lights
Good but not what they used to be
Would RecommendI have some older models of this type of product and the material was more rigid/thicker and the moving parts moved a bit more smoothly because they could better handle the weight of the wire. I have put 100 feet of 14/3 outdoor extension cords on these. As I recall, it says it is rated for up to 12 gauge but I am not sure it could handle 100 feet of that as it just got by spooling the 14 gauge. Wish they would return to the older standard of construction. It would also be nice if the handle...
