If you need to extend house (120V) voltage 100ft, spend the extra money for 10AWG wire to minimize voltage drop and maximize the extended load.

It came with the adapter to plug it into my generator. I was rehabbing a house that had no electricity. I was able to run quite a bit of equipment off of this heavy duty cord.
