With the stake it is up out of the dirt, and fire ants. With the longer cord, that provided greater flexibility of placement. Exceeded my expectations.

Does just what you want

Very simple to put together and stake in the ground. Has a red LED indicating that it is on. Seems to work just fine.

Outlet Plug In

When I purchased the outside timers I couldn't get them to work in my outside wall socket I had to use a extension cord to get them to work.

Right for the job.

Keep my Xmas lights going. Did not shortcut on me.

This is the first year that I have used this product and so far, it has worked as promised - easy to set up and easy to follow instructions

Great for christmas outdoors

We saw this on This Old House and thought it would be awesome. Has a photo-sensor on the top. Has about 6 setting. On and off. And then you can have it turn on at Dusk and run for a set number of hours. 2, 4, 6 & 8 I believe. We have it set for 4 hours after dusk. Has 3 inputs on it, so we ran a few cords to it, and can leave it plugged in and not have to worry about turning them on and off.

Easy to use, nice timer

This timer is super easy to use. Goes on at dusk and you decide how long it stays on. It's easy to set with the turn of a dial (no instructions needed), and simply to use. I wish I'd bought a photoelectric timer sooner! Done are the days trying to set a traditional timer with the current time and decide what time you should set it to go on. I do wish it had more outlets, but I only required three anyway. Future expansion means buying another.

Timer cuts out every 60 to 90 seconds makes the lights blink. Off for 30 seconds then on for 3o seconds. Not good!

Worked great. Could have other uses after Christmas.
