Good outdoor light timer

It was easy to wire up but finding a three toggle and a GFI plate was hard to find. Much easier to program than my old rotary timer.

The switch was easy to hook up and very easy to program. It works very well for my Christmas lights.

this Timer solves my issues

I purchased this timer because it was an easy solution to adding the dusk to dawn feature to your outside front lights without adding all the hassle of sensors or hiring a electrician to wire your house. It simply replaces your regular light switch attached to the light (s) you want to control, set the timer and you're done. If you can identify hot, neutral, load and ground wires then you can easily install this timer, don't forget to shut off your power source first.

Works Great

Works great, looks good installed. Easy to install (once I figured out the wiring system in the electrical box!). Reasonably priced. Buttons are a bit small, but they are probably dictated by the size of the unit.

Not for standard wiring

I bought and returned it as soon as I opened it because it requires wiring that my house doesn't have. It needs a system with three wires and I only have two. Very disappointing.

Love Having a timer to save my energy bill

Altho the installation directions lacked enough details when installing to a 2-switch & the manual door is very touchy, I love that a timer now turns on/off my lights & keeps my energy bill lower!

Turn stuff on and off. . .

Install was very basic. I replaced a light switch with this timer. Set the on and off time for my outdoor lighting. Working well. No need to waste the extra money for the daylight savings model. This one is great.

Poor directions

It is assumed that all have one kind of wiring setup. There are no directions to address different wiring layouts.

Works good, had to return first defective one

I had to return the first one I got as the timer function would not work at all, the replacement works great though!

Works well but tough to install

It works well once you get it installed and it's fairly easy to program. Installation is quite difficult and requires the ability to read a wiring diagram. Getting the correct wires hooked into the unit can be quite difficult especially in a crowded junction box. You will need to have about 8 inches of number 14 wire to complete the circuit and the wire does not come with the packaged unit.

Was not what was expected for home.

Items were purchased for in home outlets.. Found out that the timers wouldn't work due to my home being an older home.The timers were not made to adapt to a 2-wire outlets, like in my home. Had to go on line to purchase the right timers.

Decent price and it is doing its job. Easy to install and to program.

Great little timer

Easy to install. Easy to use as long as you follow the instructions. If you lose the instructions, it might be hard to figure out how to program the different functions. DO NOT LOSE THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Works well!

I purchased this as an update to a similar product I bought 5 years ago. This version is much improved! Display is easy to read, and buttons for setting timer are larger and much easier to use.

Installed it and It didn't work

Installed it as directions instructed. Display worked, but could not turn my lights on manually or with the timer. Took it back to the store and got one that was better quality. I have never had good results with the Utilitech brand.
